I have had AT&T for over 7 years and never once did I get reception at my house, my dad's house, most of my friend's houses, got charged up the yin yang for roaming, well, now I took my number to Sprint and I couldnt be any happier, the phone is sooooo cool and the service is so clear and the coverage blows any other server away, my g/f and parents have Verizon and they both want to change over now.

I sold a few people Nextel over the last couple weeks. :D
I am thinking of dropping my home number and adding it as a second line to my Nextel service

I am a consultant in the Cell Phone/ PCS biz and I would be surprised if you find that coverage as ubiquitous as with AT&T or Verizon. They are way behind the 8 ball in providing coverage over the old cell phone companies. In other words, when you travel, you may have a different experience. :(
While I will admit that I am not 100% satisfied with my AT&T service it is 99 bucks a month, no roaming, no long distance, all the minutes I can use...

Their having problems switching people because everyone is leaving them. I filed a complant with the FCC and contacted my lawyer....anyone have the same problem?

Yeah, AT&T Sucks, but so do all of them. I don't understand what you are saying though. You switched from AT&T to Nextel and are pissed because your AT&T phones don't work???? or did you switch from Nextel to AT&T and AT&T couldn't get you activated???
I did switch from AT&Ts older TDMA system to their GSM system last year and it took them 4 days to activate my new GSM phone, kinda pissed me off...for four days only message anyone got was that the number was no longer in service.
The grass is always greener, because they all have their issues. Sprints nationwide network is anything but nationwide and if you roam you pay. Cingular has had people filing complaints like mad and leaving in droves before number portability.
Verizons plans have loopholes and gotchas in them. T-Mobiles coverage is wayyyyy less than nationwide. Local carriers like Cricket and Metro PCS are just that, if you don't care to use your phone when you travel... they are fine.
Nextel is OK but I think the voice quality is so so. Also Nextels air interface is unique and not mainstream, meaning that it is not getting the kind of research and development that the majors are.
Best of luck with your issues...:(

We just left AT&T after being with them for years. Jumped to Sprint PCS and so far we're happy. Got great new Palm phones made by Handspring, the Treo 600.

It's an awesome phone, Palm (PDA), speaker phone and camera. Internet access with unlimited downloads and lotsa minutes (2400 that my wife and I are sharing). It's awesome having Web access in the car and everywhere else.
I haven't checked out porn on my phone yet but I will...
