77 Nordic-Need Gears or Prop?Help!

I have a 77 nordic v-bottom, v-drive, casale c-500 1.10 gears!
462 chevy 8-1, merlin heads, 15lbs of boost! The boat runs great! At 5500 it ran 81 on gps with a 3 blade 12x17! I re-jetted and ran 6000!I am assuming mid to upper 80's! Didn't have GPS the last run of the year at 6000! The boat runs 43 MPH on gps at 3500! At 3600 is where the boost slams to 15 lbs! It pulls real hard till 81 at 5500! With the jet change it pulls just as hard to 6000! What I am asking is... I have a set of 18's I can try! Is it worth going up to 18's or should I go BIG and down size the prop? The boat shifts from second to third at about 25, first is creeper, i can cruize in third and downshift to second...and get the boost up and then shift, the boat jumps once then plants and pulls..I think that I need more gear for the load on the turbo's (no waste gates-old banks, 3/8 holes) and also I think it is running out of gear too soon! Any advice from anyone that has played around with GEARS and props...would be appreciated!

I also have a flat that has a different casale (loud)with 38's I could try?

C 500 gears are hard to find used. If you have the 18's I'ed try them. Ratios I see around are 15, 18, and 29's. Oh, and the 4 & 9% are around too.
They do make other ratios and they are out there but are hard to find. Wait until you get a price on what a new set of C 500 gears cost. :eek:

Oh, if your flat has a quick change casale you can't use those gears in your c 500.

Try a 2 blade prop if you have one. Several people I worked with have good luck with changing prop. What RPM do you want to run? j.j.:wink:
