if the very rear fin is up and down-run.if it's flat it's flipper. if you see a dorsel fin and it moves up and down- it's still flipper. if that same dorsel fin is moving side to side or very straightfor more than ten feet- run like hell(or swim)!:D

That pics been around for awhile and I think it was determined to be flipper. You can see the bottle nose.
Flipper = good. The other option that large = bad

I saw her on O'Reily the other night, and She is back surfing! And she is going to compete again!:eek:

I don't plan to be in the water long enough to notice all that going on...feets don't fail me now!:D

I grew up surfing and have seen all kinds of things (Sharks, Dolphins, Pilot whales). you can't worry about it.
The picture abouve is a Dolphin. Look at the tail fin as well. It is horizontal....Sharks are vertical.
