That's a beauty. We are thinking of adding a RV garage to ours, and grading to add it lower like your's is. I don't like the ones that raise the roof line, your's looks great.

Here are a couple more of our place. If anyone is interested. I have live x10.com video camera transmitting from my home here in LHC. You have to have yahoo instant messenger installed to view that outdoor cam. What would a cheap house in havasu cost

All I know is that two or three years ago I wanted to buy one down there to move to and my wife didn't want anything to do with it. At the time you could get one of the houses kind of like River Rat Mikes (looked almost identical) for about 95K complete with the lot. I am kicking myself now for not buying one of the houses.
Now they are more than double that level, so it is too late for me to do it. Of course the thing that I would have had a problem with would be finding work in such a small town. Not a lot of telecommunications projects going on down there... Guess there's always Wal Mart...
:D

I my g/f and I lived in Orange County, CA all of our lives. I kinda grew up in parker at the family river house and always dreamed of living out in this area. I got layed off from my job back in Feb 2003 after 16 years of service. I then decided it was time for a big change. My g/f was all for it so we drove out here one weekend and looked a 4 homes with our realitor. The house we live in now was the last out of 4 homes we looked at. It was on the market for $167,000 and then was lowered down to $153,000 so I jumped all over that. It's a great home. 3 bedroom 2 bath huge garage and RV parking of course. I love it here so much better than OC! If you want to look at homes here online in LHC go to www.movetohavasu.com that's my realitors website. His name is Jason. Great guy to work with. I highly recommend him!

The houses look nice but here is a thought.....Letting people know where you house is and when you will NOT be there is inviting thieves to go by and rip you off. Be careful. Not trying to bring/wish any trouble of you but think how much that would suck if something were to happen.

Exactly why I stick with the $2500 a week job....
But the house down in Havasu would have been a good investment, and I wish I would have made that investment Coulda rented it out most of the year and it would have appreciated like crazy. It would have been my only investment that was a positive...of course I didn;t make that investment...

That's what all the dough I spent on a monitored security system is for. Plus...get to know the neighbors as they are your best defense.

I still think Havasu is a great investment. Buy a place and watch the equity grow!

So true about getting to know your neighbors there. I make sure I talk to two of mine on every trip and they have become very protective of my asset out there.
After the winds before thanksgiving weekend they actually swept my front walk and picked up the trash that blew into the yard to make it look more cared for.
One nice thing about small communities like Havasu people still look out for each other. One of the things I like most about it.

Nice place Mike, you scored on that deal. We didn't start looking until August, because we were thinking of building on a undeveloped property. By then the prices jumped another 20K.
Lets hook-up sometime.

The homes all look real cozy. Wife and I just celebrated our places tenth year with finding I had left the water timer on daily since Oct. Lets just say the ocotillas are ok for the winter. We're "south central".
I noticed the white crud around the patio concrete on one house. Use white vinegar on it to neutralize the alkaly (base) in the soil and will slow the concretes slow erosion. After a rain is the most needed time. Duck

I got the place in June and paid $199K for it. My original plan was to spend about $150K but when I saw this place I knew this was the one. The inside is HIGHLY upgraded compared to everything else I saw. The agent I used to help me buy this place just called me a few weeks ago and told me she had a buyer that really wanted to buy my place for $280K. Can't beat that equity in only 6 months.
My place is off of Oro Grande and Saratoga in South LHC.
Thanks for the compliments I really appreciate it.

If you have that much equity...refi and take the cash out - buy another property and rent that...keep doing this and retire! Boat all day - every day!
