I should have my new Blower motor this week. Its a 454 Steel Crank, 4 Bolt block, Square Port heads. B&M blower. I will be putting it in my 73 Nordic.

Does anyone else run one of these blowers? Can I remove a couple of those pullies? I will only need one groove for my Alternator.
Also where is a good place to buy a blower belt? I think I saw a post once where you can buy one of these belts from a industrial supply type place.

Yes you can buy those belts at a belt/bearing/chain store. Those are common for farm equipment and so-on. When I ran 1/2 inch pitch on my blower drive I could buy the stuff right from the local store. Shouldnt be any problem, just take it down there.

Dan, you will love the blower, more power everywhere all the time. If the pulleys are stacked individual ones you can take them off but unless there is a spacer of equivalent thickness behind the top pulley you're stuck with it. Or possibly there is a different top pulley or snout with more backspacing. If you are ambitious you might be able to move the blower back on the intake and redrill, but if the manifold is a B&M I don't think it will work. Plus the distibutor might be in the way. If it fits the boat as is, leave it be.

I had one on my 454. Ran good, but is a little noisy when you romp on it.
