prop rotation

I have an alpha one outdrive, I got a new prop off ebay and it turns out it has counter clockwise rotation. Is there anything I can do.

Yeah, next time ask if its a left or right wheel.

Ok, if you need more info, add a gear to the lower unit! And remember I wasn`t the idiot that bought a left wheel for a clockwise rotating unit!

I believe you can change where the cable attaches to the shift control box. Move them to the front and it reverses the throw. Nothing else changes. Left hand props are cheaper to purchase, because alot of times prop guys sell the right hand prop and get stuck w/ the left hander. FYI.
I would check w/ your local mercruiser mechanic to be sure on the Alpha, i have a bravo I, i know it can be done on it.
