block serial number

guys I need your help I pulled my motor to change the fly wheel.Where on the block can I find a ser. number to verify the year of my engine Its a 454BBC. The only thing I seen so far is [HI PER PASS] stamped on the block. Thanks Vicjet

serial number is stamped in the deck on the right bank. the part that sticks out from under the head. brad

sorry just went and checked, on top of the timing cover.(above, on the block) don't know what i was thinking of. brad
