thinking of taking some kids from out of the state (18+yrs ) to parker strip between x-mas , new years to let them see the river
before going back to school, work and such.i am worried that there may not be much going on this time of year! i do have a flat bottom to bring, but dont want to be the only one there! also is there other stuff teens can do there in the off hours?they get bored easy. is sundance still open?is it still a hot spot?or is there
better places? and where is a good (cool, fun) place to stay?
been to bransons(quiet)...red rock(gost town in off season)
any ideas?

Isn't the river going to be lowered during that time period? Check on that, if that is the case stay away from the river until the water level is back up (Middle of Jan??).

Don't believe they are dropping the water till Jan5-6 or so. The water is still down and the only safe levels are on Havasu. Take some off-road vehicles and go to the desert bar, thats the happening place in winter. Hang a right on Cienaga Springs road just above Riverside Drive and head out 6-7 miles for the party in the desert.
