Yep, our first test is in a couple of weeks down at Homestead. The track was rebuilt with banking, used to be pretty flat. The speeds will go up around 15-18 MPH or so. We are testing in Phoenix first week of February.
We are trying to put together a deal to run a second car. As usual, sponsorship is tough to find (except for burbanites team, they drive down I-465 in Indy throwing out handfuls of $100 bills :D :D ).

Marlin, Martin I used to be a big Mark Martin fan, but I got really turned-off by his passiveness on the track. He'd rather just score points then win races and I hate that! I know that that is how championships are won, but I still think it sucks from a Fan standpoint. Also, I know I'll be called a Fagboy for admitting this, but I'm a big Jeff Gordon fan as well. Ok, let me have it!:D :yuk: :yuk:

you know if all that crap hadn't happened to Sterling he would have had a great season, and i am hoping for Martin to get a championship soon, i want to see him win one big time, he deserves it, but you can see he's getting long in the tooth just like rusty and a few of the other boys, all the young guns are ready to take the reigns and go big with them NEXTEL could be the thing that takes them to new heights, but is that a good thing, i am already starting to see a nascar backlash starting with prices going up and the nascar logo everywhere folks are going to burn out on the whole thing. but only time will tell.

She's a good kid, and I think has her eye on open wheel racing after giving her the tour during the IRL race at Fontana.
You all need to take a look at IRL racing, it is damn exciting and so much better than the Cup boys. Yeah, we need fans. But all you have to do is check it out.....

RAY i already have to keep an eye on her, but she's a great girl, keeps up with her studies and takes school serious, she just started karting and is looking to make that her "thing" for right now and she has the backing of me her mom and her sisters, so if thats going to keep her occupied and concentrated on racing all the better, but she's already asking when she'll be able to take the boat out, this is going to be a very hard decision to make, but again only time will tell .
Thanks for the compliments on my wife and kid, they are the ones keeping this 43 yr old guy young, thank god for that. Mike VG

Thanks again, if Feb happens great i'll look forward to it ,if not i'll follow you guys in the news and here on the net.

That's typical. Corporate influence ruins everything. Yes, it does take NASCAR to the next level, but at what expense? The Fans of course. Big Business cares nothing about the downhome roots of NASCAR, and that Sucks!:yuk:

Marlin is a nice guy, a veteran, a two time Datona 500 winner, but he's not to bright either. Remember when he got out of his car during a red flag at the Daytona 500 and pulled-out his damaged fender? WRONG! You can't do that Sterling! You think that he would have known that. WTF!

Hey Mike, I love watching the nitro cars. By the way, here's an IRL-NHRA connection for you. Stan Adams, the GM at the Pomona track, has a beautiful daughter that's married to IRL driver Jaques Lazier.
Stan is a good guy, great racing fan. He also runs the show for the California Hot Rod Reunion, which I MUST attend some day. Talk about cool stuff, all of the old front engine dragsters, Logghe and Buttera chassis funny cars, fuel altereds (!) and a bunch of other neat cars.
As I said earlier, you guys should all go to see the IRL race in Pomona. Garage passes are affordable and you can ask all the questions you want.

Uhhh rrrr, did they build an oval in Pomona that i haven't heard of? You know i am just kidding, you meant California Speedway, maybe you had too much /nhra on the brain, by the way the GOODGUYS races are some of the best to go to also, you get to see drag racing the way it usd to be, front engined grenades, hard to handle off the line "Real" drag cars, takes me back to Saugus, and OCIR, the old "64 Funny Cars,BE THERE BE THERE BE THERE" days, and the "FOX HUNT" nights at OCIR......MVG

You know Schrader didn't do too bad last year w the BAM team, Shawna Robinson had the same car/equiptment and couldn't get any results, Kenny at least qualified for more races than she ever could have, feel bad for her though she has talent but it never seemed to come through when she needed it.
Yeah rrrr, the roadster show should be fun this year. looking forward to it, the Bakersfield show is always fun too.

The new name of the show is: Grand National Roadster Show. My Dad's 41 Ford was just accepted to be in the show. He's pretty stoked about his car getting accepted. I guess there kinda picky on what they will accept into the show.
