The Rogers DragStar Was a Jet, It did use a Hondo FlatBottom Hull Though, on a Roger's Deck. But they were all Jet Driven and Damn COOL !

Such a shame to ruin an otherwise beautiful transom with that big wart of a pump.:yuk:

I think Todd is looking for a Rogers V-Drive flatbottom. I know he made them I have seen them before. I am not sure if they are called "dragstar" or not?? But I know they have the same deck that Todd's boat has, but it is a flatbottom.
Oh and this site will get moved if you keep posting pics of thoes damn jetters. Otherwise its a v-drive question :D

Todd, I think there is an Advantage runnerbottom w/ an outboard on it in the Btrader. Gotta be the same hull.

1B, if this is a rogers cap on a hondo hull... ide be willing to challenge you on that....
the distance between the gunnels at the rear of the boat are far too narrow....also ,the "barrellroll" of freeboard do not have enough of a roll (sanger=teardrop, rogers =totaly round). & finaly, the transom of a rogers does nor did not ever have a "bubble" surrounding the pump(like all Sangerjets)!
todd
hope that made sense!

1bahnerjet, this is a pic of the rear of the rogers( very wide) the sanger flat jet seems to be much narrower. but i could be wrong!http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/500/45rearview-med.JPG

My Info on The DragStar Comes from Old Rigger.
How Roger put his Deck on a Hondo Bottom only he Know's.
I remember the Boat (in ads) and they've always been Jet's.
Thats my Story and I'm Sticking to it.
Oh almost Forgot, V-DRIVES are cool

yeah, 1bahanerjet is right, that dragstar started life as a hondo bottom.
I bet there were less that 30 of them made so they're pretty rare. Maybe one was a v-drive. I can't remember for sure. one, maybe two.
Advantage bought that mold from Roger when they bought the 18 bubble and some others.
I think the fastest that one ran was somewhere around 130, a jet. After all, they WERE Rogers, the father of the modern jet boat.
