Hey everybody,
Hopefully I did it correctly and you should have directions to our place by PM.
Hope everybody can make it and if there's some that you know don't post here often (Matt, thinking of the rest of your gang GR, SN&Midget, etc...) please pass the word on to them.
Time to start planning our summer..............John & Jan

That's because the Chevy Towtruck is usually towing the Ford, and the added weight pushes it down the hill faster! :skull:

Well, I suppose I could cut Malcolm a little slack, since his is FORD red. I always like the look of the Olds Gold, with black and aluminum highlights.
I had a '78 Gold Edition T/A with the 6.6 ltr (403) Olds. Ran well, but not impressive like the car deserved.

So this morning when I get to work, the other 3 owners pull me in the back office for a closed door meeting. They tell me the gal thats been working here for 5 years, doing our payroll has been inflating here pay checks 4-9 hours a week since Jan 1 of this year. We're all like family here, so what a blow that was. We had to fire her. The founding owner & controller talked with her after we all met to confront her about her stealing. She admitted to it. she said she didn't think it was that big of a deal. What a way to start the weekend.

I guess not. Our controller is going to go through all the copies of copies of pay stubs to see if she helped anyone else out.
It wasn't something I was planning on dealing with this morning.

Gayleen
03-31-2006, 02:02 PM
I was talking to our controller and she said to look for check cut to vendor when the actual check was written to herself.
We are having a complete different issue at our company. Nobody can focus because a new CNC Mill was just brought in the door. I have not taken a close look at it yet. It is about 12' x 12'.
I wish you were having our problem, much more exciting.
Good luck with everything!

Damn Chris. That sucks, though it must be something in the air. They escorted an employee off the property today and sent an email to everybody that this person is nolonger an employee and that we should report it to the Security dept. if he is seen on the property.

She was doing it back 2 years at a few hours a week. Since Jan it was 5-9 hours a week at time & half over time = $21.75. A little extra $300-400 a month. Our GM told me its a felony to dupe payroll in your favor like that. I'd rather not see her do jail time. Emily used to do Stamping & Cooking Ware partys with this girl and her sister.

Yup, it's a felony....NOT GOOD ! If she's a 1st time offender she probably won't see jail time. What a shame though, she must be in a pinch to do something like that ? And most likely in a bigger pinch now, NO job and NO unemployment. Tuff call to prosecute or not, I'm glad Im not in his shoes.

Last weekend, (Sunday) I was going through Craigs List, and a '72 SS El Camino came up. I was the first call on it, so Kim and I ran down to Tacoma, and bought a Black w/ White striped, original 72 SS ElCamino, for a simple work beater/ boat tow. It's just a small block/auto-posi, PS PB Induction hooded, non hacked up survivor. It had been stolen, and the steering column was trashed, man those tilt GM columns can be a pain, but today, I rebuilt it. I gave the Transit agency 2 weeks, it looks like I'll run for Ness Cranes, for a little less of a commute, and longer term strategy. I'll go pick up strainers for the bash, if something really hits home, I'll buy several. No work tomorow, but if I don't spend some time with the wife, I'll be spending more time with the dogs, and paying for some other dudes' toys, so no motor work tomorrow. We'll all talk soon, looking forward to a kickass summer!... :skull:

I'm obviously in the wrong line of work.... Always liked El Camino's, had a 75 that was really getting close to done, only needed paint and nice wheels, and hit a semi that decided to park in the road. Scratch that one, totaled, bent frame. Then, I got the ticket for too fast for conditions, running 40 in a 50 zone because of rain, but according to the judge "I should have been able to stop, irregardless!" :yuk: Truck driver walked scott free, should have gotten immproper lane usage, or something. I was out the Elky and the cost to my insurance, plus court costs.
Anyway, are you driving it up to JRork's? I'd like to look it over. I'm planning to make a shakedown run in the Suburban that weekend, as long as the WSP inspection goes okay.

Yes, all can breath a sigh of relief, the bitter half is joining me. I'm not sure who all else is tagging along, I'll try for the Snohomish gang complete, but getting all those idiots together for anything is akin to hearding cats. I think they've all got ADD, they can't remember a date to save their collective souls. I've got no picks today, the clowns overstressed my picking beams, and compressivly damaged the side plates, and yielded the bars, so the repairs are under way. (People wonder why I drink)

I don't think so. To be honest Chris, we have some room but we don't have that much. People would have to park out on the road which though is a deadend, I'd still worry the whole time that somebody would ding one of them.

Ya, Chris, you are welcome over to do some Fab. work. I'm running low on 18 ga. though. I loaned, or gave, (I can't remember) my metal brake to Wade, and now it's over at Terry's place, so no brake here. I, like a complete idiot, was fabbing up the trailer hitch for the El Camino, and the music was loud, so on-so on, sat my torch down in the cart, handle down, and drained my Oxy tank completely. There goes another 75.00. They should odorize that stuff, like Propane, but make it smell like cherries or something, just to save us fools money.
I met a guy out on the peninsula with blowers, so I have to drop about another grand, or so, for the drive. Working on the island today. :skull: I don't know on the carpool, we are probably going to take the El Camino, and that would be pretty cozy, plus it's only got two seat belts, and knowing my luck, we'll have some sort of event, that would toss one, or all of us out of the vehicle, but, of course, if we're all wearing seat belts, nothing will happen.
Big Fat painted his boat, and last night, his fenders, if I have the gumption, and time today, I'll try to learn to post pics.

That is a great idea Mat ! My Oxy tank is currently empty, and the Acc is near full from a very similar experience . And I always thought the Oxy tank was bigger for cutting :rollside: .
Posting pix is pretty easy once you learn how. If I can do it, I'm sure you can.

Nope sober as a judge, and like I said before Ive got lots of other people to hang out with that dont always have to complaint about something and they dont razz me about the weather, slime marks from blue lake and definatly not the way I type.
Its really nothing personal I just dont have any patiance for people who feel that they need to be negative about things,it just brings me down and I need positive people around me.
And fortunatly I can do and surround myself with who I choose and those people will be kind, curdious and respectful and I will treat them the same or I will just not be around them.
Its not really any big deal some personalties just dont mix kind of like oil+water.Oh and by the way the new motor looks pretty good, nice clean and pretty much stock.

"If I can live with being called Projectile Chris because I threw up at Drop's house from drinking to much, you should be able to live with Windy Chris". Its not an insult, just kidding around. Nothing against you personally. The camping trip at Blue Lake wasn't bad. Just very windy at night. I'll be talking about that wind for the rest of my life. I don't say it sucks or Blue Lake is a bad place because of it. I will tell people if they tent the wind might blow a bit (30-50 mph constant).

I have been known to be the first one to call horse sh_t on a windy weekend. I've left Banks twice, and left some friends behind because they either couldn't or wouldn't objectivly say "This SUCKS!"
Bottom line, we're still friends, I go to Banks, Roosevelt, hell, I've sunk my boat THREE TIMES on the snohomish, been broadsided and sunk by one of my best friend, and we're still friends, I still go to the Snohomish, and still enjoy it.
I call friends all kinds of fowl names, yell, scream shout, Mother F__k everyone, grant sometimes unfitting knicknames that stick, piss off the parents, piss off the Sheriff, but I still have wonderfull redeeming qualities. One of which is the ability to get over it, and not take everything as an attack. It sound like that's how you're taking it. No, you couldn't control the weather, nor did anyone expect you to, however, it SUCKED, and the crowd left. You have a cabin, they had tents. No one is mad at you. I say, screw something else up this year, and change the topic for christs' sake. We are all here for one anothers' entertainment anyway, look yourself in the mirror, have a good laugh at that ugly mug staring back at you, and let's get to work on our junk, summers coming.

And as for letting the 1/2 Whacker in, that's ya'alls bad, full whacker are another story!!! :crossx:
We just got back from the coast a couple of hours ago, was really nice on Friday, rained all day Saturday (and yes even after spending almost $300 at the RV shop the trailer STILL leaks), Today was rain on and off on the way home. Still a good weekend, nice to spend some time doing almost nothing.
When we got home there was a package on the porch waiting for me. WooHoo the "correct" adapters to bolt the Bassett's on the Tahiti :rollside: !!! Too bad they don't work... . Not sure what pattern Bassett used, but it's looking like I'm out $150 (2 sets of adapters + shipping), and will still get to make my own.
3 phone call's to make tomorrow, first to Bassett to see what the H3ll I have header flange wise, second to Nicholas Machine in New Carlisle, Indiana(damn nice machine work) to see if I can return the newest adapters, and 3rd to Hooker to find out what the first adapter set fits.
Somewhere out there is the info I need, but I'm about ready to just bolt the Osco's and O/T pipes back on and live with it. Also waiting for a $300 package from Banderlog (of course if I put the Osco's back on that money is down the tubes, too).
And I need to get the Tahiti done and unloaded Friday so I can use the trailer to go get my "new" boat from Moses lake. Parts anyone??

I bought a couple of strainers today, I don't know if they will work on sand, they're not designed specifically for that, they're more of a standard strainer desighn, but I'm hoping they will settle the sand in the cleanouts just from the resistance. They're 3/4 NPT female inlets, I'm gonna try one on each side, near the engine inlets, to pick up more "relaxed" water, and have more effect. We'll see. I'll bring 'em along, but we need to do a trial and see if they work. See you next weekend Chris. Matt & Kim :)

Well,
I made a bunch of calls this morning, got everything sorted out except what the Hooker adapters fit  . The guy at Nicholas machine that I got the last set of adapters from said to send them back and said if I could include a pattern of the header flange they would cut a new set to fit, no cost. It will take a week or two for them to set up the CNC programming though. He wants to be able to make any possible SBC patterns he can find.
I also called Skagen Marine to get a phone # for Bassett. For everyones info Bassett has their own flange pattern, that's why nothing else was working, figures.... Still waiting for my Banderlog valve, Squirt sent me an e-mail over Friday to let me know it should have been shipped over the weekend.
As far as heading over the mountain, I may head over Friday afternoon, early, if my buddy (and navigator) can get a half day off. I want to make the Rorks party, and our sitter has a party to go to on Saturday. If I can't get back before one we lose the kid for the night... Not a bad thing, but she likes playing with the rest of the boater kids.
I also talked to the RV repair shop, and they said to bring the trailer in ASAP and they'd get it fixed (and listen to me when I tell them where the leaks are coming from this time!! ), so I'll be dragging it to work tonight and dropping it off in the morning.

Very cool he'll take care of you. At least you'll know they'll worK !! maybe you should send him the headers just to make sure, with your luck at least . In any case a couple of weeks isn't too bad, at least it's still April and not August.
We'll have Chaser man, he wants to play with the other kids as well.
You got a leak your trying to find ? I heard some shops actually fill the inside of the RV with some sort of non-toxic gas, pressurize it with all the openings closed, and see where it exits. Then you can for sure find the leaks. Only costs a $100, not bad to 'see' right where the leaks are. Just a thought.

That's what they did the last time, basically replaces one of the vents with a high volume fan set-up and pressurized the trailer, then wash it and see where it bubbles. Cost $95 to set it up and run it, and another $200 to fix everything, but they still didn't get the two I told them about specifically  . Now they get to try again.
My navigator has kid duty Firday, so I'll be heading over to Moses myself around 12-1 Friday afternoon, hoping to get back at a reasonable hour Friday night. We should be at the Rork's around 5:30 (April has dance class and should be home about 4, and we'll hit the road shortly after that.

We've been talking on the phone about it. :) Emily's bank is open until 6:00 on Fridays and they don't get out for another 30 min. The kid's daycare closes at 6:00. Someone has to pick them up by closing time or its $1 per min per kid after 6;pm. Plus its no fun being the last kid to be picked up.
I just uploaded some new pictures of Claire. HB only let me upload 2, it keeps telling me I need a different file name to save them under. I've given the pictures differenct file names. My blood is starting to boil.

They are letting Emily off a little early Friday night. So I just have to reschedule some residential appointments and I can go. When do you want to leave Friday? :rollside:

Great! I think we have the brats, burgers, hotdogs and all of the buns covered. I think Gayleen and Malcolm are bringing a desert so that's covered as well. Beyond that, rustle up whatever you like to eat with BBQ and I'm sure we'll be set. I've got some beer (Coors light for my girlish figure) so if you guys like something else, the hell with you. One other thing everybody, on Saturdays, Silverdale Way that you will be turning off of onto Knute Lane can be a biotch to try to take a left and cross.
Most of the time its not a problem but just in case, just cruise on past our road and follow it into Silverdale (1/8 mile) and turn around. That way you don't have to cross the traffic.
I'm stubborn enough to set and wait for an opening, Jan is way too nice and pulls the turnaround routine. Your choice, should be no biggee either way.

Besides, we HAVE to everybody here cause Jan just came back from the store with 60 Johnsonville brats, 24 huge hamburger pattys from Costco and 24 little hotdogs for the kids and whimps.
I still have to get the Jallepeanos (sp?) for the poppers/poopers and then we"ll be set. Bring your own Pepto...... :rollside:

Hi JeaLynn,
We're looking forward to hooking up with everyone also. Maybe I can talk Tony in to scrapping that old berk for a PANTHER. :D
As far as what to bring, I'm BBQ'n bratwursts, hotdogs, hamburgers, and some jalapeno poppers.
I think we have a cake, pasta salad & maybe a stew coming so whatever you want to throw in the mix is great. Fruit might not be a bad idea but whatever you bring will be appreciated so dont sweat it. This is supposed to be fun with no worries.
I know what you mean about the beer vs. temperture but remember that beer is one of the major food groups and you dont want to mess with your nutrition (yah, I know, I cant spell) (and I've been trying to sell Jan on my "major food groups thing? so dont blow my cover)

Just getting in from a thrash in the shop. Still not sure who is coming over tomorrow from the gang, but I'll be on the horn in the morn. I gotta put the console/dash back together after breaking a shifter cable in the pick-up today. What a hassle, a B&M shifter on a custom console, running through a small hole to a 700R4 behind a built 454, with 3" exhaust, lowered naturally. After burning my forearm on the pipes in a parking lot, I got it home, and found the problem, Jim Greens' had the cable in stock, but it was 15 minutes till closing time, I ran like an idiot there, bought it, came back, Jeff was kind enough to help with the re-install, but I'm done for the night. We'll see you there, with as many fellowfools as I can gather. :p

Well,
We got there and back safely, with no missed turns (well okay, one missed turn, but that was my fault). About 3-3 1/2 hours over, and a shade over 4 hours back. Stopped by and yakked with Vern for a few minutes, then fought the crappy weather over the pass in the dark. DOT had already put down de-icing fluid, and the stuff smeared all over the windshield. I need to wash the truck and the hull today to get the goo off. They also need to paint new lane lines, dark, wet, and half blind, would have been nice to be able to see if I was in my lane (or any lane for that matter). Chris finally just closed his eyes and pretended he he was at home in front of the TV (asleep). Probably felt safer that we, as it's hard to crash a couch  I wasn't enjoying that part of the trip.
I'll get pic's today as I unload everything, will post before we head over to Rork's party, and yes, Sierra will be with us. Should be there by 5-5:30.

I'm not sure where the actual who^e status kicks in. We may have to check in at the sandbar to find out. :D
Gayleen just came back from the store, with some brats. ;) She did skip the jalapenos though. :D

This is JeaLynn, thanks for all the concern about my hair!!! :rollside: . I actualley had no clue that I waz about to be scalped.... :yuk: I was just having a good ol time in Johns boat not a care in the world, until I saw the look on Tony's face, when John was attempting to fire his boat. It was great! I just want to say that everyone was soooooooo cool, I was not sure what to expect, and Tony & I are very happy it went so well! All the girls are really nice. Anyways I think we are going to have a blast all summer.
Talk to you soon

Great time folks! Jesus John, sweet shack you have, P.C. and I were on our best behavoir last night, we hardly even talked to each other, but that's probably what saved us from another "episode" :p The "Party Orginizer" designation for J.R. works for me, so long as when we have the get-together at our place, he cooks!
All the food was mav., Kim sends her apologies for biting the rooster tail out of the cake! ( I really have to watch her sometimes!) We made the fairy, late trip, sat in line for 45 minutes, so we made out the whole time, wish I'd bought a crew cab! Next time we bring the Tahoe!
Today's Easter, so to all, a Hoppy Easter, we had a blast! I won't have the Yaki Grill done in time for the shindig here, but we have two BBQ's on the deck, so we have to set a date that is convienient, also, it should be on a boating weekend, that everyone wants to bring the boats, we'll boat, and BBQ after. Lots of parking here, the neighborhood has been beaten into submission, so on street parking of boats is cool. Hell it'd almost be a boat show! Hasta!--Matt& Kim :)

Just be thankful she took the bite out of the roostertail instead of the green boat. If she did, she'd have a green mouth and you'd have a green mouth from making out with her.
Then when people saw Droppy with his green mouth, well, you get the visual. (not that there's anything wrong with that)......... :crossx: :crossx: :crossx:
Bash someday at Matt and Kims sounds good to us, count us in. Take care and thanks again

What are you talking about? You did not give me the receipe, so I did not know what to get.
John and Jan, had a great time. I only remember about half the drive home, slept through the rest. Your house is sweet, and definately get the bathroom award.

Naw, just sleeping and doing yard work after I get up. Still haven't got back to the Tahiti, need to find my pre-luber, get some oil press up in the motor, then light it off and break in the new cam. Hoping to do that between now and Saturday.
