View Full Version : Where can I find one of these?

It is a ski rack mount. The round knob is spring loaded and pulls out to accept the rack in the slot on top. I am missing one and would like to get the same kind. I've looked at the sites that I know of, but haven't been able to find them:

A dealer of the racks or the manufacturer will prolly be able to get you one.

I'm looking to find out what dealer would carry them, and I do not know the manufacturer.
I was hoping someone has seen one around recently.

It looks like something i saw not too long ago in a SEADOG catalog. Any marine supplier should have one of their catalogs on hand, or you may just search the web for them. I hope this helps.

Misunderstood what you were looking for, I would still suggest a dealer/repair/installation shop though if no one here recognizes the part. My father-in-law has done boat/auto upholstery for 35yrs and recognizes the most obscure stuff from whenever/whatever.

I didn't see them in the Sea Dog catalog.
It might be hard to find a vintage part like that. I have seen those rack mounts, but they have always been on older jet boats.

I had an exact set 20 years ago!. I'll look in the garage this weekend. If I find them .............. they're yours!

Gunnin , I have some from GIL and I also had the ski holders but the rubber strap broke and now I cant find those . definatley gonna strap those back on

CP Performance (http://www.cpperformance.com) carries them and you can buy individual replacement parts...
Part # 410-1002 for the mount only, part # 410-1000 for the whole setup.

I bet Rex Marine (http://www.rexmar.com) carries them as well, but that page is not available in the online catalog.

Thanks, old squirt. I had never been to CP performance before.
Do you think that I could chip the paint off to expose the aluminum surface to match the other a little more closely.
If Mojave Vice comes through that would be awsome because it would probably have a similar look to it.

Yeah, those do look to be powdercoated. They can be stripped but I'd inquire as to the availability of polished parts. I think I've seen them in CP's showroom in polished form, but I haven't been up there in a while. Since Rex Marine is down in SoCal, I'd definitely give them a call, or just PM "Rexone" here on ***boat. It's his place and I bet he knows the inventory pretty well. :D
