January Buena Vista Trip

The LUVNLIFE's are planning a trip to Buena Vista either the weekend 10-11 or the following weekend. I believe we will have to drag the RV out for this:rolleyes:

Okay, due to winter time, they have half the campsites closed for now. The only waterfront site open was 57. She told me that the 'higher ups' are probably going to be tellling her any day to open up some more sites, so I'm hoping they open up more waterfront on the other side. We are going to hold off until Fri. to make reservations (they are closed Wed & Thur), hopefully they will have some more opened up by then.

it was great! it snowed about 7' while I was there.. I went boarding for a couple of days.. And then we rented snowmobiles.. That was a lot of fun.
The only thing that was weird was ... I went on the trip with some people from work (international team).. I would have loved to bring in the new year with some closer friends.. But with all the "BS" going on in my house right now.. it was better that I was out of town for it all regardless of who I was with..

I remember those freakin jackalopes, I caught one once. Anyway maybe it's time for a little history. Yes there used to be alot of antelope in Antelope Valley. After the railroad went in the antelope were afraid to migrate across the tracks and the herds died off. That is knowing way to much about the Antelope Valley.:D

I heard it was a earthquake in the 50's that change the water table and the herds moved out. But that was probably just an old timer telling stories:(
