You finally posted a boating thread.
It does 63.
Once with the wind in my back and empty tanks. It hit 67, but that was a little hairy

Just a stock 496HO, they tell me I might be able to keep up with klrtoy. Maybe if I put up a sail I could pass him.

65.3 mph on GPS so far. 22 ft StingRay. Need to play with the prop selection though (haven't hit max rpm yet).
I used to think this was fast enough unti I went for a ride in JackPunx boat.
Now I'll never be satisfied. :(

Best we did so far on the new motor was 75, still had some left but not much. That was with 4 adults and full tanks.
Like SoCal_Fun said, once you ride in JACKPUNX boat, we are to slow. At 70, he steps on it and we hit 100 in seconds.
:D :D :D

81.3 mph, fresh water with about 100 gallons fuel, two 220# guys, and about 500# gear.
I think it has a couple miles an hour left in it, but I am afraid of running out of fuel trying to get it:D

Best I had mine was 97.9 on gps. I think it could do better but I need bigger kahonies!!! LOL 19' Eliminator Daytona, 260 hp Merc out board. Very stable and rides very well at those speeds but the wind really gets ya, you need goggles to keep your eyes in your head, its truly a blast to drive.

Previous Boat = 85 mph on GPS Eliminator Eagle 300XP twin 502 Mag MPIs, Bravo 1 drives w/ 4 blade bravo 1 props.
Current Boat = 58 mph on GPS Ultra 21' LX 350 Mag HO./Alpha 1 w/high 5 prop. Will do 60 with 4 blade Bravo 1 prop.

Did 118 on GPS in the past, but de-tuned motor so woudn't keep blowing outdrives. Currently the boat will do between 105-107 depending on conditions.

The old ones with out steps take a lot more power to get decent speed, but the new Twin Step (like ours) does not take as much hp.
Tres Martin is getting over 86 mph with our same setup, but with some bottom work, and prop work. The one in PB Mag a couple month ago ran 105 with 750's.
If we keep the boat some boxes, new lowers, and more power might be in store. It would be nice to run over 100 again.:D
