Here is the Sacramento River by my house. It should be over the bank on the left side by noon tomorrow. OES (Operations of Emergency Services) has called me twice now to make sure the fired dept was ready. Don't ever remember ever being evacuated out here. Most times we can get out by tractor.
1st pic is stationary. 2nd pic I was doing about 20. Not bad for a digital cam.

So did I understand you correctly that "you" may have to evacuate?
Hope you dont have to, but if we can help in any way let me know.

Never have to evacuate. They just want to make sure there is a plan in place. We live in the middle of the flood plain. Even when it came over the levee around the house in 83' we didn't leave. Most everyone here has lived here all there life. They just make a bigger deal than what it is.

we're gonna get it here tonight and tomorrow. :( Hope you all are safe up North. When I come back in another life I hope my NEW JOB is a weather person, because you get paid if your right or wrong. Are MAJOR STORM of 2003 didn't hit last night as expected, which is great news for the burn and flood area's. Makes me think the T.V. stations build this stuff up to get you to watch there station and there ADVERTISING  . Then again if there right they look like hero's. Only God knows for sure!!!

we did this last year, and the year before, etc etc. You can almost never tell if it will be nice until your standing on the ramp NY Day. Its been storming at my house New Years morning, and just a drizzle that cleared up at CFW later on in the day and made for a nice day. Who knows. But I am up for a plan B if NYD is rained out?

Well my plan B is if there is too much rain up north, have a local mini " Camp Far South" gathering at Lake Casitas. (Although I will definately be suffering from 'shroom withdrawls) Otherwise I'm on the road tomorrow AM:D
