Did you see him holding his kid while feeding the crocodile? Saw the clip on the news, pretty stupid, holding a 1-month old baby in 1 arm and dead chicken on the other.

BRISBANE, Australia (Jan. 2) - ''Crocodile hunter'' Steve Irwin's latest stunt - hand feeding a large crocodile while holding his infant son - drew fire from viewers Saturday, a visit by police and the promise of a government investigation.
Before a crowd of onlookers at his reptile park in Beerwah, north of Brisbane, Irwin on Friday cradled his month-old son, Robert, under one arm and dangled a piece of chicken from the other hand in front of a 13-foot crocodile.
The croc quickly snapped up the meat.
''Good boy, Bob,'' Irwin said once the crocodile's jaws snapped shut, according to the tabloid Herald Sun.
The moment was also captured by Channel 7 and Channel 10, with viewers later jamming phone lines to express outrage at Irwin's actions, media reports said.

Remember don't try that at home, he is a trained professional!!!
He was on one of the talk shows a year ago and showed some video of his daughter doing some feeding , not of crocs though, but still the guy is around these animals and knows darn well what they can do, trained or not.

And I reckon it's "Crikey!", mate.

His baby his choice to make decisions. Not to mention the guy has probably known crocs longer than he has known vagina or babies.
If the guy wants to let his baby get bit by a croc the so be it. He himself will have to deal with the outcome of his decision.
Personally i think people are to busy in their lives worrying about steves child to worry about the well being of their own children.
Worry about your crackhead slut daughter and stop accusing people like steve of being a bad parent. If he didnt think it was okay he wouldnt have let the baby he cares for more then anything else in this world take part in that.
Plain and simple..... Steve is going to have some bomb ass discovery channel guide tour kids who will make shit loads of money gettin all up on some crazy animals you and i wouldnt dare approach but will want to see up and close on tv.
You want the next generation of tv to be some pc ass shit? You think jonny knoxvilles parents were pc?
Get the **** over it.
Sorry people i in no way want any of you take this personally because i know that you guys all are more family oriented then any other community there is but regardles this croc hunter shit is lame.
Let the guy do his thing and if his baby gets its head bit off then he himself has to deal with the consequences.

Must be a cold night in Denver.
IMO anybody that has kids, and cares about them has to want to kick that dickheads ass right now, I know I do!
I used to think Steve was cool, but the guy obviously has no F$%@!@ brains!!
Risk your own life, fine.
Risk your kids life... F - YOU!! (Steve, not you Boozer).

Exactly. the dramatists of the media will reign tho. I can't even count the times I've seen a newborn loaded into a boat that the blower has run for 30 seconds or less or even run at all before dad turns the key to start the engine. lighten up.

I loved him but I think that is a little much!! They say that his father did the same thing when he was a baby. I guess when you grow up with those crocs you feel invinsible!! I think that he would of taken a leg off before he would of let the croc get his baby though!! Problem is that the croc could render Steve usless and then get the baby in a matter of seconds!!!

I second that He knew full on what he was doing! He would die before that baby got hurt!

Right on. Everybody want to chastize someone else for what they think is right and wrong. Someone out there thinks its wrong for us to take kids and babies in a boat when they can't or don't know how to swim yet, and still we (some of us) take them out. Protected with life jackets and a safety seat or the arms of the mother we take them on the trips with the same sense of security that Steve has with his child.

**** that, he did it to grab the news. Wrong, any way you look at it.
He used the child as a “prop” to garner media attention. Looks like a pretty clear cut case of child endangerment to me, especially considering his motive behind it.
I have no reservations about taking 5 minutes from my busy life to voice my opinion. Maybe if others do the same some other knucklehead won’t get any whacked ideas about using their children as “props” in dangerous stunts.
Like somebody else said, the Croc hunter needs a good ass whipping for that one.
