Do all you jet guys run water-injected zoomies?

The water injection on the zoomies is there only for visual inspection for the lake cops, it is never turned on.

That's what I was thinking. Think it'll be less that 80db?
Do they let you go without a flame arrestor on that injector hat, too?
Nice boat, though.

There are still a few places to go that have little or no restrictions.

I had the same set. Sold them to a jetter. If blown bought them used they could be the same ones.
Boat Cop said mine were ok when he saw a pic of them here on the forum. lol, a few years earlier he booted me off Parker with the same exhaust.
They really are just for show. Did not do squat to the noise but sure makes a mess when it pumps mist all over the engine.

Nice boat. building a blown alky motor like that is not a cheap task. Good luck, and be safe. would like to see that thing run ming.

There is no need for a flame arrester on a blown motor. It is next to impossible to back fire through the blower rotors.
Very nice. be careful with no capsule going for that mark. good luck.

The boat ran great on the initial outing today, but needs many more test and tune runs.

As long as the Coast Guard is OK with that...

blown alki hydros are runnin over 200 these days and the blown alki flats are in the 170 range.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not knockin the jet by any means. I hope I'm in Bako when he makes his first pass. Should be something to see for sure.

Blown alky, How is that pop-off working for you?
Is it cable or pedal activated? I have the same one,but I hear mixed things about them (Actually I hear they suck) I still plan to play around with mine though.Explain to me how you are going about using the pop-off if you are using it at all.
Did you install an inducer for the next outing? What else are you trying? if you dont mind me asking.
Thanks,Cs19.

So an alcohol flat runs around a 7.00 right?

There were several TAFs that ran in the 6.60s this year.

Blown Alky,
you should tow that thing up to Camp far West on Saturday. There should be several boats up there running around and having some fun. (All flats) but, it makes for a better time and more people to help if something happens.

This pop off valve is controlled by a cable attached to a foot pedal. So far it has been working out great, using this pop off the boat has so far been slowing down nicely. I would like to make the trip to CFW, but it is kind of far compared to Modesto Reservoir which is only 15 minutes away. It is much easier in these initial outings keeping close to home in case of problems. I am planning on going out to Modesto Res. saturday, Walt did some grinding work on the inducer to the leading edges.
