No shit, I have only sold one toy I bought, and I don't miss it.
In my ear right now is my wife telling me we need to trim down cars. I told her, "They are toys, not cars. Driving on the freeway to get to work was never in my general plan, I was able to afford ALL of them before you came along."

The Z/28 was in great shape, I sold it for $10,000.00 in 1987. If I can recall I bought the GT for a little over $15,000.00.
I also had a silver 66 Mustang GT Conv.. The car was perfect, black pony interior, ralley pac. I sold it to Lisa Bonet for $10,000.00 buy the Z/28. That is the car I should have kept.

Good topic...my 1'st car was a 69 SS Chevelle 10:10 Bracket car I had in the early 70's...Black with 2 FAT White Stripes. I bought it when I was 15+1/2, and it sat in my Grandparents Garage until I turned 16.
The bummer is I never even took a picture of it...:(

I had a 68 Firebird in high school. Very nice car. Played with it on the street for about 5 years. Ran low 13s in full street trim and crappy tires we had back then. I got to missing the car a few years ago. so I bought a junky $500.00 68 Camaro body and spent the next three years chasing my youth by rebuilding it.
I've started to sell it a couple of times after I finished it, but my wife wont let me sell it(she might be afraid I'll start on another one, heh heh)

Through the years....
1st; '68 Camaro RS/SS, factory tilt, tach, console gauges, power windows power disc brakes, A/C and a very rare fold down back seat. this car had everything. complete and original when I bought it, from an old dude in a shop I worked at many years ago.
2nd; '67 Camaro RS. built this into a pretty cool pro-street car, featuring a 377" 12.5-1 angle plug head small block, full manual turbo 400 narrowed Ford 9" third member with 4.56 gears. Four link rear, full cage, lots of aluminum.
Sold the '68 to build the '67.:(
Sold the '67 cuz I fell in love and got married.
3rd; '64 Imapla SS. 289 power pack, 3 speed, posi rear. White on blue. Also an original car.
Sold this cuz I needed the money.
4th; '68 GTO Judge. 4 speed, tilt, AM/FM radio. Hood tach, of course. I bought this car in 1986 from a friend who got it for a bodywork job, with a killer knock in the motor. I gave him $600.00 for the car. I drove it almost all the home when the knock in the motor got reeaall loud, and then, just like it was in a movie, smoke started coming from under the hood, and the motor quit with a very authoritative BANG!
Later investigation revealed a broken camshaft, and a completely unsalvagable motor.
I kept this car for a couple of month's with the hopes of restoring it, but times were tough, and I finally sold it for.....$600.00
That was the last Hot Rod I owned. Couple of years later I bought a boat, couple years after that I bought "Hot Rod Boat":)
Yeah, I wish I still had some of those cars.....
Although it really doesnt count as a Hot Rod, but one of my favorites was a '63 390 powered Ford Galaxie 500 2 door. It was lowered, Black on white with tons of chrome.
Man that was a Cool car.

68 Chevelle built 327/350 trans. Spent sooo many good times in that ride back in Redondo Beach. Sold it to my Nephew back in the late eighties. He turned it into a show car in Az.
He sold it for a big block 70 Chevelle (smokin fast).
Still miss that car once in a while.

My first car was a '66 Chevelle SS 396 Convertible 4-speed car that I sold approx 2 years ago to purchase the boat. I don't regret selling the car because I did get the boat, but I miss the car every time it is a clear day with nice weather. I am considering building another classic road pounder in the near future, but don't know what I want yet. Possibly a Charger or a Camaro. A nice GT500 wouldn't be all bad either.

`69 Chevelle,,,, man that car rocked. Tunel ram through the hood with velocity stacks. 19 years of age was real fun. 2 speed power glides suck. 400`s are built for younger guys and alot of redlights.

turned 16 g-pa gave me a 66 mustang which he bought new off the showroom floor.........sold it for 7000 when i was 18.
next ride was a 71 bronco sport, put a 95 lightining motor/tranny in it, 5" suspension , 33's, 4x4 (obviously), this thing screamed and looked perfect. turned 21 and sold it for 9000.
nowi have 93 f150 which is really nice but it does become worth a little less everyday...not like the last two. worth a little more everyday!

Well, I must be learning cause I'm keepin the 63 split window vette!

Before I was able to drive my friend had 69 camero, it was orange and white, this thing was the baddest car ever, the only problem we always had, we broke down at least one a night. But that thing was a Rocket when it ran. lol Many times on our way to Whittier blvd, and at "Scottys" we used to hang there. Damn I had a great childhood;)

For all you guys that regret selling your Goat, add me to the list.
65 yellow/black int. console TriPower, 4spd 55,000 original miles from the original owner. He saved it for his son, who promptly went out and got 2 speeding tickets in 30 days. Up for sale- me buys it! It rocked. would run 95 on the center carb up against the linkage, then you grab the two end carbs and open them wide for a rocket ride! Speedo would go one way, the tach would go the other, and the gas gauge would beat them all to the peg!
That sucker would get 20mpg if I could just keep my foot out of it.
Traded it for a Jag E-type V12 roadster.  Yea, the skirts liked it, but that was the only good thing about that piece.
I'd druther have the Goat any day. Live and learn.

72 Comet GT. Bougt new and put over 100k miles on it. 302 with Offy 360 DP manifold, custom exhaust system, SCCA suspension mods to run Class C modified. My wife made me get rid of it because we needed a "more reliable car' :yuk: Walked by this car that was painted fire engine red and recognized it immediately. Broke my heart to say goodbye a second time.
