Randy,
Is that rail kit from MPD?
If not who made it?

You could use 3/8 alum. plate for the motor plates, 2 x 2 x 1/4 structural alum. for the rails and 1/4 x 2 alum. for the backing plates if you chose that route instead of just using stringer washers. Rex has the pillow blocks,Mpd may have them as well.
It looks pretty trick when you mill the slots into the rails and backing plates, i havent gotten around to milling mine.I also like the look when the rail is about 1/2 inch below the top of the stringer like in these photos.

Notice the 3/8 bolts that mount the rails, they are offset of each other for strength . take your time and think it all out before you start drilling.Check for things like the bolts holding the pillows blocks to the rails interfering with the bolts coming through the stringer, get long enough bolts that will stick out past the nylock nut at least 1/4 inch.Have fun.

I have pics of mine on my website, but nothing on ***boat.
Not as much bling as MPD'S.

Brian, how well do those urethane mounts hold up on your rail kit? Have you tested the difference between the solid mounts? Any difference in vibration? How much?

I have had them in for two seasons. My boat runs smoother than it did with the Olds, but I haven't had a head to head test to tell you for sure. I took the Olds out and put the Dodge in. I am happy with it.

the bling is pretty much all chris' idea. the bling heads, bling intake manifold... people will need to wear shades just to look at it with the lights off :D

Shaun, The prices for these mounts vary. In kit form, which requires fitting to your boat, polishing or powder coating and drilling of some holes- for $375. The MPD one shown above is probably 3 times that amount. I was quoted 1200 for mine...
Thats why im building my own... What motor do you have? I have some Glenwood 4 point mounts that are in good shape that Ill be willing to sell, but I need them for bolt patterns before I let them go...They are for a big block chevy. Send me a PM if you are interested.

LOL! It coming good, but im just in the design stage. My boat is upside down right now waiting for new gel coat, but when it gets right side up im going to start cutting the plates. No plans to mfg them, I doubt there is a market for mine...im just trying to save money!
