L.E.
I'm just trying to motivate the ***boat forum contingent.
Johnny Ray (aka A.Sneed) used to post frequently on these boards. If he wasn't on extended vacation, I would have given him excellent odds at showin.
Joey's odds would be low, probably close to yours.
You three, are the only frequent ss representatives on here. I'm not sure what happened to Stretch, I haven't seen him post for a while....his odds are high to show up.
Its actually probably more benificial to the group, if you guys were just there for the annual morning meeting!!
I'm not only the video guy.... I'm the S.S.R.A. motivational speaker!! :D

Well since it is in my yard I'll be there. Joey Cucci will be here tomorrow morning for the meetings but I believe he's going back to havasu after that.
Lee, mapquest says 3 hours and 38 minutes estimated from San Dimas to Las Vegas...didn't have an exact address but mapquest says start at E Bonita Ave?
Bowl...BOWLING? So your adding PINK to your boat now huh?:D
Hey VDV do you know if everyone is going to try and gather over at the T-Bird this year at all? If not no biggie i'll see everyone tomorrow morning...SAVE ME A VIDEO will have cabbage in hand!!!

I don't know Jerry ... 9:00 am until 1:00 pm in a room with 20+ SS Drivers, 60+ Crew members and 10 to 20 camp followers for four hours discussing the future of Super Stock and other Inboard racing classes, without the benefit of an early Happy Hour, might just be pushing the limits of even the most patient racer !!!
Just kidding. I have been waiting to see if I have to work Saturday. As of 5 minutes ago, it turns out that I do. Have fun !!!

Good to hear everyone had a good time. Now, lets hear about the important stuff !!! What was decided at the meeting? Are we going to be racing at Parker in April? Is APBA going to let us run without capsules? Are we going to find another insurance company and come up with new names for Super Stock, Pro Stock, Cracker Box, and GN (Grand National)?

Well Larry,
Unfortunately I didn't make the meeting, but the race goes on WITHOUT CAPSULES (at least for the series). Maybe Circleboatkidd or UCLAHATER can bring us up to date on the meeting.

I don't think the RWYB3 organizers have set a date yet. Maybe we should just plan our own little outing??

Just saw this posted at the SSRS website today
"01-13-04
In a bold move the American Power Boat Association (APBA) Inboard Racing Commission (IRC) revised the mandate of capsules for most runabouts. The wording has changed from Mandatory to Highly Recommended for Super Stock, Pro Stock, and Crackerbox. The mandate for the K-Racing Runabouts is still in place. This is great news for the majority of those who have been racing and wanted to continue racing the open cockpit boats. This move shows a lot of courage and wisdom from the IRC. It is felt by many racers that if a team desires to go the capsule route that it is their choice and those choosing to do so receive the full support of their fellow racers and that there may be a time for the enclosed racing of all boats, but that this isn't it. It is felt as well that much data gathering and research needs to happen regarding the boats and rescue techniques as the move to possibly being strapped in progresses. "

Larry,
I was at the meeting and was floored by how many races want the superstocks there, and are willing to pay them to show. Those races were just the points races so maybe a few can show up and still run long beach.
P.S. hows the motor comin
