Tom dontcha know? Paint could possibly decrease the thermal transfer coefficient and the incoming charge temp to increase by a few kelvins and this decrease the peak cylinder pressures resulting in less satisfactory schoimetric combustion and 5 less horsepower therefore leaving JBB's beautiful pink and purple hi-tech fluid flow dynamics designed tunnel being beaten by lowly 200 horse wacka on a 70's hull.

Yeah, It's called skunk harbor on the east shore. Boat or hike in only. This pic was taken on the fourth of July weekend, 2003. It was about 85 degrees and perfect. I love that place. Here's another shot. The water is real cold but worth the plunge. You can see about 35 feet to the bottom.

First and third are at a real nice beach about 17 miles north of Knights Landing at a 90 degree bend on the river. It's a long hump up there but the skiing is perfect all weekend.

Dribble or Mike... I think there is an old ramp in Grimes but nothing north of there until you get close to Colusa. There might be some private ramps that were made. We had one that we made but you had to pull the boat in and out with a tractor.

Yeah, I got to thinking about all the places we boated last year as I was posting the pics. The list was pretty long.
We also spent had a few day trips playing on the Sacramento/ Feather rivers, and Lake Tahoe a few times too.
We did have a trip scheduled for Powell, but pictures of the water situation like this one changed our minds. Maybe next year.

I envy you for the amount of boating you did. I used to hit a dozen or so lakes a year, but since I got the big boat I was lucky to hit the Sacramento River, Folsom and one other.

When I was a little younger, single with no kids, it seems like I was boating all the time. I used to hit Havasu/Parker and Needles/Mohave 2 or 3 times a month.
Now with my wife's school schedule, the kids baseball, football, swimming and soccer it's difficult to get away for time on the water.

That's an 84 Eliminator 20.5 Sport Cruiser. My buddy found it on Ebay in 2002 (and bought it real cheap). It had 77 hours on the meter. Was only used about 20 times. It was literally perfect inside and out. It has a 454 (square port) with a Berkeley. The warranty tag was still on the jet. Nice ride.
