Windsor beach: I wouldn't launch there, but some people where. When I was leaving there was a new 29' blue & grey DCB driving in...I don't know if he launched or not, but I would guess no.

and the new sign showing the fees...which indicates to me that they are keeping the annual pass (but I could be wrong)

The are suppose to start re-filling the lake January 31, 2004 if the work on the ramp at take off point is completed. So far they are on schedule.
The lake will drop to 442' above sea level today. Normal january level is 444' so it's only 2' lower(Doesn't sound like alot but summer levels are 447' so it's 5' down from what we are all use to)

John,
What a crack up....Thats me sitting there with the engine cover up waiting for my truck to appear. The guy on my left in the sweetheart of a assbrown bass boat couldn't drive for shit, banged into the dock twice. Don't know what the hell he was trying to do:confused:
My weekend report and pictures at RRL/CHANNAL--pictures from IN the water. :D
.
In actuality, there was plenty of depth still at the north ramp, it was deceiving looking but there was a distinct path to follow without any worries.

Its an existing ramp that's being redone--the one just east of the Parker Dam. Public and free.
.
I believe the $45 limited pass is good for weekdays and not weekends.

I knew I recognized your boat, but couldn't remember who's it was.
Did the 29 foot grey and blue DCB launch right around that time?
It must have been a great day on the lake once you got launched. We really wanted to go out but just didn't want to chance any damage.

Yup,
he dropped it in right after I and a guy in a small brown jet pulled out . The lake was great and I really didn't have any problems. I actually felt the most shallow area was the south end of the channal right where the bouy is, kinda near the "swimming area". May have been somewhat illusionary. You just gotta boat smart and not approach inlets and outcroppings as we normally would.
.
You can tell in the picture how intently I'm watching the guy in the brown bass boat...he was bouncing around and out of control.
