The boat called "Dancing Bear" was one of my favorite race boats when I was a kid. It was a "F Service runabout". I hadn't seen it in 35 years.

Thanks V-drive vid. I didn't know if this was the place to post these pics or not. But you can't help but admire the workmanship and finish on some of these boats. The dancing bear boat was real neat. My dad raced SS in the 60's and 70's.He raced against Duff and his dad. And I always liked the F service runabouts. My brother knows Keith Brayer and his dad who own that boat. He got to take a ride in it.

Yeah, Thanks for posting the cool pic's!!
I love them old wood classics. The vintage Chrysler powered stuff is cool too.
Every year, in August, there's a pretty big classic wood boat show here in MI. It's just north of the bridge, in the UP, in a little town called Hessel. Been dyin' to take my 68 Rayson Craft up there to idle on through between the islands and show mine off even if it is a glass-over-wood boat.

That is actually a Sanger that Jim ripped the deck off and replaced the whole thing. I can't believe that guy PAINTED on it! :-P

Thanks for posting those pictures. My company is actually doing a modern version of the older wooden boats. All brand new construction, but looks vintage. There are a ton of people out there that love the looks of the older woodies. :) Both boats are 2006 models. :)
These pictures were taken in Parker this past weekend.

My dad told me, when he was young that ChrisCraft had an advertisement in a magazine to have submissions from people to design their next boat. My dad drew up a rendition to his liking and sent it in. They ended up choosing his design and it became the Cobra! :D
