This was connected to the casale tack drive and to a engine kill switch, and it looked like it was wired to the motor, anyone know what it is????

Must be some sort of signal generator. Mechanical to electrical pulse. Strange. I'll look through Moroso catalog.

A line lock wouldn't be hooked up to a mechanical tach!..

Ya know, just because it has a Moroso sticker on it, doesen't mean it's from them, look how crooked it is?, don't look to me like it was put on there by Moroso!..

I ws thinking same thing. Guys put decals on everything I guess. We need more evidence!!! Numbers..anything.
Reason I looked at Moroso was they used to make mechanical tachs. Like Jones did. Could it be a signal device to run an electrical tachometer?

somebody got it right. Rev Limiter. not progressive and i would suggest not using. if you aired the boat out and it shut off the ensuing nose dive would not be pretty.BTW the ramped slot in the front is the rpm adjustment. oh yeah i have one if you need a spare.

Yep I thought that's what it was, why else would it be hooked up to the tach??!!..
I sure wouldn't use one!..

That is one of two things.
A. A Lilligigger off of a Dewdapper Box.
or
B. A whiffle pin from a fart hammer.
It's hard to tell from the angle the picture was taken from. At least that's what my Dad would have told me had he had one and I was to ask him ------ Watz that???

I don't think it's a rev limiter. I had an old Sun? tach on the '69 sanger and it had a square box thingy that was mounted under the dash that was wired to the tach. I think it's an old transducer/signal generator that would give the tach a signal that it would use to display the correct rpm.

you can ship my new chingus snail mail.....I'm sure they won't insure as its too valuable for them to risk the loss. Be sure to pack it in double bubble wrap and maybe inside a big box of foam. actually I made boat guy and unbelievable offer on that boat he's trying to sell maybe I could get a good deal on shipping them both together.

I got it boxed up just like you asked and took it to the Post Office and told them it was priceless and they said they could not ship it with out insurance. The said it would cost 2000 dollars for the insurance, size of box and all, so I took it to UPS and they rejected it too. The box was to large and did not want the responsibility [you know those UPS guys] :D :D :D
