Just a thought, what if you had a small v-drive
flat bottom, lets say 15', and you put a Mazda
rotary engine in it?
I know they can really turn the R's. I had a
friend that had a rx3 that would get to 9000
rpm with no problem.
I am not thinking of doing this, but it is something I have thought about. Would there be
power issues? Be kinda cool to blow away a jet
with a vdrive that was pretty quiet :D :D

Ran a Wankel in a Jet drive Scarab 16ft
a few years ago and it worked fairly well
but we could never get the max pump RPM
to matchup with the Max HP rpm of the
Rotory Motor.
We had it running about 60mph at about
5000RPM.

mazda makes a 3 rotor twin turbo that would work in a boat.boats have a great source for intercooling water.engine is good to 500 hp with proper efi system.there are many laptop programmable efi systems out.the trick would be to keep the ecm water tight .

They put Wankels in Arctic-Cat snowmobiles for one or two years. They ran real good!!!
