well i finally got the pump tore apart. here are some pics of the impeller. thanks to 396 for helping me out. man o man was it a pain in the ass. from the looks of the impeller it is the original that came in the pump. there was about 50 thousands clearence between the impeller and the wear ring, not to mention the thrust bearing is shot. from the last pic can anyone tell what the impeller is cut to. im thinking its an A

I'm Fine. The Boat needs some R&R. I need to get new interior then do the cam. I don't want to put carpet in it. I like the way it looks without it. Maybe add some grip tape. Bout broke my neck last time out. How you doing Ty? Ever get the front seal to seal up? I cant wait to get new seats. May go with buckets in front and have the rears made like Dans Kachina (Squirtchas?)I like the rear to face forward instead of looking across from each other. Or maybe just do away with them altogether.

That thrust bearring had more play than hookers in vegas!!!! Not to mention what a biotch it was to get that impeller off. It took us 2 hours to get that damn thing off   Then we took mine apart in 5 minutes;);) :)
Just buy a new one ty, like the crazy canadian said :crossx:

Buy New-Buy New?? you guys have'nt run a worked impeller before I guess? When properly done, your can gain a half size in cut, performance wise, just from the efficiency, and a hole lot better, hole shot over a stock impeller. But it's his money to decide, get it done, spring is here! Sleek

you could probably clean up the imp vains, but that wear ring surface area looks pretty chewed up, I just replaced my berk A with an American Turbine A impeller and am vary happy with it. ( better hole shot, more top end, less RPM.) gota love it.

Sleek is referring to Jack's "magic" at MPD 949-631-2040. If you haven't run one of his re-worked impellers...well your just missing out is all. Enough said. Jack does know how to make em more efficient.

For less than new?
Whats a ballpark to work on an aluminum impeller and get it back with fitted wr?
I've thrown out some fair ones in the past. :(

I think its around $130 for aluminum and $300 for bronze and stainless. Im may not be exact so dont quote me......

The cost of reworking the impeller vanes on my impeller last fall was $200 and then $100 for a stainless wear ring machined to fit my impeller. Both sides of my impeller have been worked over. It all depends on what you desire out of your pump. A blue printed impeller "hooks up" alot better then a stock impeller.

Sorry 460, but I think you would be better off starting with a new core to work on rather than that one
