all depends on the sizes you need, but most hardware stores carry them. but if your looking for automotive bolts, id look at some local auto stores. (napa, car quest,or a good independent shop) if your looking for head, rod, or main cap bolts, i would go with ARP, yes expensive, but not as much as a failed bolt and repair cost.

You also might try the auto parts store (napa ? ) at Avery and the freeway.

I've called most of the local parts stores, they've all recommended McFadden Dale Industrial Hardware in Santa Ana. I'll go there this evening and see what they've got.

Ace carries most standard grd 8 fastners. No head type, or mains, but they do have bolts, nuts and studs in most common sizes....Moneypitt

Go To DeNaults! They have a better supply than Home Depot. Oso and Marguerite.
Or, if they dont have your size, Lowes in Rancho has a decent selection of bolts too.

If you have a Lawson rep. in your area, he has some of the better bolts on the market. Grade 8 zinc coated(will not rust). Expensive but worth it.

Finally went to McFadden Dale Industrial Hardware today. They have a whole plethora of bolts to choose from. Luckily I knew what I needed and didn't need their help, I could definitely tell they were the grumpy pappy type. Again, thanks for all the input.

Yeah, most of those guys have been there forever and like anybody else they do have their moments that's why I don't recommend them to everyone. Mc master-carr is the best though and their website is extensive almost mind boggling.

Here's the last place you'd think they'd have grade 8s.... Pep Boys! Decent selection, and good prices. Go figure.
