Just picked them up today from Lightning Mfg. in Lake Elsinore. I will be installing them soon. You guys recommend I get header studs/nuts or just use regular header bolts? Hope you like Them, cause I think they look bad ass....

I like ARP studs. They look and work better. Plus, they are easier to install since you just hang the gasket on, then slip the header on.

Nova Guy,
If you go the stud route, I can garantee that there will be 1 bolt on each side that won't work. As you face the motor, the hole towards the middle of the block on the far left tube (this description works either way) is a real bitch that you wouldn't be able to run a stud on. It's hard enough getting a bolt started. YOu have to start this bolt first and bring it down as you draw the header down, or the head of the bolt will bind on the tube. I don't see any way you can get a stud in there.
Good Headers, you'll like em, just remember to drain them after each use.

Might want to use some flat washers too. The powder coating will probably crack and peel when you are turning the bolt/nut tight.

Is it just me, or does her mouth piece look like it belongs in a "water pipe"?

I would recommend using "Stage 8" header bolts. They have a half moon washer and E clip that you put on after the bolt is tightend down. They don't EVER vibrate loose.

I have a friend that sells them for a lot better price than that.
When you buy directly from Lightning you will pay full price.
I have found that the only gaskets to use are the MR GASKET grafite gaskets with the wire mesh. I even reuse mine and have never had one blow out. And I use the bolts that came with the headers.

What's up Chango fighter....Thanks all for the compliments and input re studs or bolts. I'll probably just go with the stage 8 bolts. JBB, your headers look great after 6 years. Didn't realize it when I picked them up, but I wanted to put an fittings on them instead of the rubber hose and hose clamps that they gave me. I called Jan today, but he is out of town for like 2 weeks. Does anyone know if he makes the the tubes with an fittings instaed of the stock setup? My boat will have all braided line/an fittings and the way this setup is, looks like shit imho.

NovaGuy,
If you're talking about putting AN on the feed for the cooling manifold, just tap the inside of the pipe with the appropriate NPT size and install your AN fitting. Mine came pre-tapped, but we had to tap Hackers out ourselves. I just can't remember what size it was.
If you don't have the tap or a way to do it, let me know and if you're local to OC/LA I'd be glad to help ya out sometime next week.

AHHHH,
Don't think I can help ya there. Jan would have had to have welded different bungs onto the header to accept the AN. We could tap the manifold sides, but you'd be f'd at the header end of things unless you wanted to use the fake braided stuff.
I was talking about the feed line into that manifold. That can be tapped as the wall is thick enough to support it. Sorry if I got your hopes up.

JETBOAT BRIAN, you need this exhaust hose to finish off the look,
it's from www.tridentmarine.com and has twice the heat rating as the usual black stuff, it's real flexible and easy to work with and has a real glossy finish to it, I also went with the T-bar clamps, they had this hose in red and black also, I'd show my engine but after seeing that blue beauty mine would look ugly,
