Hey everyone,I have got a 350 mag with thru hull exhaust, not thru transom but thru the sides of the boat. Why is one side hot and one side cold? Shouldn't they be the same temperatures?
HELP!!!!

Kevin, do you run in saltwater? Chances are you have excessive corrosion & build-up restricting water flow on one side.Rig up a garden hose to the water inlet on the exhaust one at a time and compare flow. This might give a quick answer.

Yes i run in salt water, but the boat only has 150 hrs on it.I noticed this when i am flushing it. Also first thing in the morning when it is cooler one side has steam the other does not. kev

Most of the cooling water is going to the cooler side. Check for blockage in the hoses going to the hot side.

If the hoses arent kinked or anything, try the garden hose trick , could be a blockage in the casting , pay close attention to openings when taking hoses off . look inside with a probe light.
