Rio, post some pics of your boat since you know how to do it now. I think we have similar lay-ups on our boats. I noticed you have the thin stringers, but still have a parquay panel on the tunnell, its a combination you dont see often in a daytona, have your stringers been notched up front where your seats are? On a standard 19 daytona, the stringers are about 2.5 inches wide and have a large notch under the seats so you dont sit so high.

The hull is a very lightweight hull that was layed up as a race hull and the stringers are only 1". Not notched but they are taller than the wider stringers. http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/520/193DSCN9176-med.JPG

Quickest to pull them from Mr HBjets gallery. Pics of Windy and a girlfriend.

Ya mine are the same, 1 inch, no cut down. It cant be that light if there are 2 girls on the deck, that wouldnt fly on my deck.

Yeah, you can't have a back seat when you have this trick blower belt guard!

No, I didn't get a ride in it. I wasn't bummed though, it was just cool to see it on the water, and to shoot the shit!

Talk about a thread hijack.
I made a cool simple bypass that I have had on last season. I put another one on a boat I worked on. I am sure it has been done before, but I have never seen it. It works on the principle of water taking the path of least resistance. More water out the big hole than the small hole, big hole out the side of the boat, small hole to the motor.
Make sense?
I didn't like the looks of the pressure reg everyone was using, so I made my own.

I do not want to ask a stupid question but is the wing on Riodogs boat to fly the front or keep it down.I would think it would be to keep it down like most wings are for.
CS that Daytona of yours is very clean.Did DNE start on the motor yet?

Yeah sorry about the hijack.
Jake, the wing is to keep the nose down, i dont think they need anymore lift.
Yes, its at DNE. All the machine work is done and all of the parts are there, just needs to be assembled and dynoed. Should be completed shortly.
Have a great superbowl sunday everyone.

Here is what I'm using and I haven't had any problems with it.

Block pressure is not higher then 25psi at 5800rpm, and water temp is 120-125 degrees. I bought this from Grainger.
Jake, I believe the wing is for keeping the nose down.

They are saying it will be ready by the first race in March.
Between getting all the race motors back togethor ,going to winternationals and getting me and mark off the dyno, well thats alot of work.

That'll work. I am guessing it flows enough water to keep up with the pressure.
I built mine with no moving parts.
I was thinking of a stainless ball/spring with an adjustment for pressure, but decided to try something without any moving parts.

Note to self 1: boats upside down flyin through the air=major no good.
Note to self 2: Stay out from underneath boat if Note to self 1
happens.
Brian
I don't like that picture, reminds me I have to buy ballistic shorts this season. Just so you guys don't start taking shit, EVEN if my jet isn't that fast.
