A nasty wreck out on I - 15 at Lenwood road. Back up is twenty miles back.
It's gonna be tied up for hours.
Time for a new route.
395 N. to and thru Silver Lake to old 66 past Barstow.

This sucks. We know someone headed for Vegas this weekend. I think they left this morning though.

The CHP said it was construction zone related.
Does anyone know how long that construction has been goin on?
It seems at least 10 years. Seriously,, at least 10 years.

That's because everytime I drive by, they have 10 miles of lane closures...and one guy with a shovel (sometimes he's on his break, though).

One way thru it is get off at Bear Valley, go east into Lucerne Valley, then north on Barstow Road. Brings you out right at the 15/40 split, and you still get the fun of the 40 to the riv.

Roost has the best way for sure. I have done that several times in the past.

I heard Cal-Trans just laid off 5,000 workers.......
The Japanese just invented a shovel that can stand on it's own:D :D :D :D

The way I hear it is that he is on break until his first 15 min. work period. Then he goes back on break until lunch. The guy has an hour to eat, but he has phone sex with his girlfriend, who is on lunch break at Astro Burgers, for about 6 mins.....well just say he's gone for lunch for about 1 hour and 15 minuites. After lunch he goes back on break until his next( yep, you guessed it) 15 min work period. Who knows what happens after that.....Some times he boes back to break, sometimes he goes home...
I figure roads will no longer be needed by the time he gets that damn thing done....

If you get off the 15 at D street (Apple Valley) and go east you hook up at the same point.,with only 5 lights instead of 25.

Anyone try exiting the 15 at Stoddard Wells Rd and taking it the the 247 (Barstow Rd.)?

Or D Street west which looks like it turns into National Trails Highway up to W. Main Street and into Barstow?

I've had traffic on the 15 back up before D street, so for me the extra lights on Bear Valley was consistently worth it. In all honesty, I don't even take the 15 past the 10 anymore. I go from 29 Palms thru Amboy, and exit at Mountain Springs Rd. Np 15 to deal with, and very little 40. Much better.

We come across from the 14 in Palmdale and enter the 15 at Palmdale Blvd. We have always looked for a better method...tried 58 but that's 30 miles out of the way and good only if we find out about a problem before we exit the 14.
