I have a set of Bassett headers and well over the years the weather has tooken it's toll on them. The poor boat :( ...
What can be done, i want them to look like they did when they where new. As you can see from some of the pics below, there are some rust area's and areas that took some heat abuse. Is there anything that can be done to make these look new agian?

Shaun my experience with these is that once they get rusty, old, discolored, etc. they are not worth replating. You spend alot of money doing it and the tubes may not be thick enough at the bends to take it after polishing for rechrome. And they never do look like they did when they were new (because they're still not new). I'd sell em on ebay or the swap meet and get a new set if you want them cherry.
Another option might be jet hot coating or similar, rather than chrome.

Shaun, if you want shiny Chrome Bassetts, do like Rex said and buy new ones. Check his website for prices, they are competitive. Otherwise, have them de-chromed and Jett-Hott them.
