Doesn't that guy know he's got a jet? The seats are supposed to face forward:D Seems like a good price:cool:

I'm thinking the harmonic balancer might take a little skin of the shins sitting back there.

Those gas tanks are over $500 new (and they look new). Hmmmn, split bowl Berk pump w/rideplate and setup for cable steer. Yup I'd agree it'd be a fair price and a good project for someone.
Do my eyes deceive, or is that a two barrel carb perched up there?

isn't the idea to put cooler gas into the engine? I'm thinking running the fuel line over the exhaust logs reall isn't a good idea, especially with rubber hoses.
Dan,
The way the gas goes into the carb, I'm guessing it's a quadrajet.

wish i had that steering setup. that's a good price if the woods not rotten. good starting point for someone with time and money on their hands.

FYI, if anyone from the boards is bidding on this boat, it is located in Manteca, CA

damn the high bid is 2500 bucks and the reserves been met already. that's a steal. two days left someone should jump on this.

Slotracer went over to try and look at it, but the guy wasn't home. Maybe I'll give him a call and go check it out. It looks like my 19 footer's little 18 foot brother!

hey heat! is your boat 19'? i thought it was 18!

Nope, it's a 19 like Cyclone's.
I still can't get over how light it is. I was cutting and fitting carpet last weekend. While laying under the deck fitting the bulkhead carpet, I noticed the deck flexing with the wind gusts! There will be no walking on this deck!
I've been meaning to ask you and Cyclone about something. On my boat, the fwd/rev control was mounted to a side panel that fits next to the seat and extends forward along the inside wall. I like the control down low like that. But I'd like to leave those panels out for more stowage space. How do you guys have your control mounted. I'm just looking for ideas here. Thanks.

you know... mine came just like yours and so did mikes but we have since moved it up where most all other J/boats have the F/R are mounted!
ive seen a couple of boats that have them mounted on a 3/16 plate that has been mounted from the under side of the gunnel, probably just up from where yours is located now!
never really studied how they were installed there but i do think i like it better there, at least you dont have to "HOG" any 1" holes in the side of the gunnells!:D

I'm trying to stay away from drilling any extra holes in her. I'm thinking an alum. seat frame and extending foward. I kind of liked the control out of view like it was.
Thanks Todd!
