Very cool but it sure does seem to be taking one hell of a risk. If they can't see the wheels or spray how are they doing that so precisely?

That's a video of the pictures posted a couple weeks ago. The wheel brakes are locked and the airplanes are hydroplaning across the lake. Just like the way water feels solid in your boat at 60 mph, the surface is "solid" to the airplanes at 120 mph.
It is pretty risky though.

what are they thinking????? what if some boat pulled out in front of them?? Do they have better brakes or something??? That's too damn irresponsible!!! Get a clue!!

Thanks for posting that video. My dad is 79 and he flew AT6's after WWII.
I played it for him at least 10 times tonight. He told me everything about
the planes. He and a friend bought a surplus one in great condition after
the war for $ 600.00.
