I have a 28` Advantage Party cat the I just got with a 496 Mag 375 HP and a bravo 3. I took it out about a week ago with 28" props on it and I got 64 on the gps at the limit of 4800 RPM`s. " it was 42 Degrees " I am getting a set of 26" props lab finished and I will get them back in a few weeks. the thing I am wondering is with the rpm limited to 4800 will the smaller 26" props give the boat any more speed ?

I think you will see an increase in hole shot and a decrease in top end. If you are running the same WOT rpms then the bigger prop should give you more top speed.

Sounds like you're prop'd pretty close now with that set of props. I don't think that you'll ever get past 70, dual props aren't meant for speed.
Good luck

The 26 pitch props will increase your RPM's on top end and increase your hole shot but. By lab finishing the 26 props you will increase your RPM'S even more and will probably be on the rev limiter. Lab finishing generally lets you run a larger prop at the same rpm's. You might get your best performance increase by lab finishing the 28's. Depending on who does the lab finishing it should increase the rpm's close to 5000. More rpm's with the same pitch = more speed. We use Mercruiser for all our lab finishing.
