Those boats and ones like them(winged hull) have been tossed around for quite a few years now. The only purpose for them would be in race applications. They have never and will never take off in the private or commercial sectors. Its design is plagued with too many limitations. Wiyh some wind tunnel testing that thing would be way cool. Put a fan on it instaed of a prop and dude that would be fun. If you had money to burn.:p

They don't look like the most practical boat around the dock. :D
Still cool boats, though.

While our boats have won many National, World, and UIM Championships, they are certainly not a one dimensional boat by any means.
The reality is we only build 12 or so a year because we choose to, and we are a small custom boat builder/race leasing company and want to stay that way. We spend 8 months out of the year leasing boats out on the APBA, GLSCS, and other offshore racing series.
Here is a shot of our 28 Vamp...

Hey Chris,
Is there any chance of seeing more of that 28 Vamp? That picture doesn't give a great idea of what it looks like.
Thanks,
Tom
