Who all is going to Duane's open house next Sunday? I'll be coming up from Katy on Saturday with my boat. 650 miles one way, that should be fun. Leave Katy about 5:00 AM Saturday, get to Wichita about 3:30 PM.

Hi guys, glad you can come to our open house. There is a new motel in Goddard, but it's not the Holiday Inn. I'll have to get the name for you tomorrow. On the other hand, I have a special deal with the mamager of the Four Points Sheraton in west Wichita. All you have to do is ask for the Hi-Tech Performance Discount, and he'll fix you up with a much cheaper room rate. He does this for me because we have used his motel for the Wichita Summer Nationals boat race for over ten years. 316-942-7911 is their number. Ask for Kent Mix. I'm mixing up the dry rub for the ribs tomorrow morning. See Ya All at Hi-Tech. Duane HTP

Duane, I don't know man, a Sheraton sounds a little fancy for a small town Texas boy. I guess I'll give it a try. ;)

I got a hold of Kent Mix. My price on a $95.00 room at the Four Points Shearaton is $62.00, and that includes a FULL breakfast bar. (NOT a Continental bk). And it is good too. Single, or double. Has pool, bar, exercise rooms, resturants.
316-942-7911
The other place is called Express Inn, (but not affiliated with the Holiday Inn). The rooms are $42.00 single, and $46.00 double.
Has Nothing. Subway next door. A drink of water probably costs extra. (This is Goddard) HA!

PS; We're up over 50 people now and growing.

I got reservations at the Sheraton. I'll be at the bar Saturday at 9:00 PM looking for other hot boaters. I'll buy the first round. :) Look for a 6'-2" guy in a camo baseball hat.

TexasJetter, you must play shortstop.
That's the only position I can think of that would need to wear camo playing baseball.
Sorry...couldn't resist. You can zing me at the barbeque!

I couldn't tell ya???
Out of respect for Duane, I`v never tried to bring beer or drinks in his store. Hell, I even go outside for a smoke, even when I`m in the back room working on the boat.
That`s somthing you`ll have to ask him.
Last year Jake, myself and a few others went to Rocket Randy`s house and drank all his wellers until he kicked us all out...lol..
I dont think he liked what Mike & Jeff were doing with his boat parts ...ROTFLMAO

Beer and such not a real problem. When I quit drinking 15 years ago, Coors had to have a lay-off.
If you have beer and drinks, the boats always run about 15 mph faster. HA! HA!

Thanks to Duane, Brian and all the people who brought stuff to eat. I had a GREAT time meeting everybody. I got up @ 4:00 this morning and was in Katy @ 1:20 PM. Smooth ride, no problems. I called Lightning, the headers are built but not powdercoated yet. I called Duane and they took the boat to their lake. He said it ran 65 MPH @ 5300 RPM. so now they have a baseline. He is sending me some pics and I will post them here when I get them. Again, it was great meeting everyone. I am going to try and make TableRock in August.:) One last thought, If Duane builds pumps as good as he barbacues I know I'm going to be very happy with his work.:D

Jeff, if you come in August, you will miss it by a month! It will be the 17th & 18th of July.
Was great meeting you too, and look forward to getting to run with you on Tablerock!

The speed was 66.2 MPH at 5300 rpm. Both by GPS and by Nordskog test Speedometer. Temp was 56*/95% air, mild breeze with 4" chop. Glad you had a safe trip.
Ken, Send the impeller pictures that you took to Jeff and let him post them. I'm not going to get time to do it for a few days.
Thanks, Duane
