View Full Version : Show Me Your Dolly Trailer FENDERS...

...'cause I need to either make some or buy some. I received the original axle stubs and aluminum mags (to convert to road trailer), but this thing rides fine with the small tires (DOT Approved), tires didn't get too hot, didn't need to constantly re-grease bearing buddies, etc. And who knows, I may need a race trailer in a year or so...
Anyone have fender pics for dolly tires? Anyone manufacture them?
Thanks,
LO

Lakes check out this thread.
It appears the transformation to make a dolly trailer a road trailer is pretty easy.
I am planning on making my regular trailer a dolly next year.
BTW I believe the fenders are just the regular one with the end cut short.

Thanks HUD,
Most of the fenders in those pictures appear to be the same design, so I guess I will have little trouble finding a manufactured pair.
Morg, my dolly trailer used to be a road trailer, and the boat purchase included the the old road trailer parts (axle stubs, aluminum wheels, etc.). Converting back to road trailer seems easy enough in my case, but I will keep it as a dolly and hold on to the stuff for resale value.
After 100+ miles, I checked the bearing buddies and they barely went down at all. The speed rated Carlisle tires weren't that hot either. So I'm comfortable with the current set-up.
Thanks,
LO

I found some small fenders (they were 60 inches long) at Northern Tool. They have an online catalog. All the trailer shops I found had the standard 6 ft. fenders and longer. If you don't find some local, you might check them out.
