had boat out past weekend , drove aprox 1hr down river then back up ran around 35-40 , used 21 gal. merc 225 efi sanger barefoot. old warrior would do way better but was carb 200. should i worry , bring it in for repair? or is this normal.

Sounds like a lot to me. Hell my Big Block does better than that.

How accurate are your numbers?
If it was really close to 60 minutes and you burned real close to 21 gallons, that means you were fueling about 200 hp worth of power. Were you running full or near full throttle?
I would think you should be burning about 25 gph WOT. :idea:
I'd look at the plugs and see if you can tell if all cylinders are firing. A V6 Merc will run pretty well on 5. Also, check the color. If they're really dark and sooty, it's running way rich.
