Beverly, My wife, underwent 6hrs of abdominal surgery this morning. The surgury went well, but needless to say, she's in a lot of pain.
I just came up to the house to feed the dogs, now I'm headed back to the hospital to stay the night with her.

Thanks everyone!
Your replies raised both of our spirits when I brought Beverly home today.
It was a long night.
She went in for a procedure that should have taken an hour at most.
It turns out that her bladder is situated unusually high in her abdomen.
So when they made the incision, they cut into her bladder.
Not a good thing. :( The doctor discovered the cut as they were finishing the origonal surgury though and it was sutured up and should heal ok.
She's home now and much happier and more comfortable.

I'm glad to hear that it went relatively well. Now comes the fun for you tend to her every need. ;)
As for the bladder, its kinda like cutting into that deer...you almost always knick it with the knife. :D

Yeah, but she's worth it!
She's doing a lot better, up and around a little bit.
Still can't get her to eat more than a couple of bites of food,
But she's getting there!
