My Dad would laugh and say "guess you'd better put a mast in it, huh, huh, huh".
I hate sailboaters.

My boat won't run on pump gas anyway; I need to blend fuel. At last summer's pump gas prices, I was paying about $2.40/coctail-gallon, which ended up being about 96 octane.
At this rate of gas price increases, it will be about $3.00-$3.25 per blended gallon. So I've decided to head on over to the local airport today and see what they get per gallon of 100LL; I'm hoping it's less than the cost of this year's blended fuel.
But sell the boat? C'mon, nothing in the way of gas prices has pushed me anywhere near that far.

I'm ba-a-a-a-ack!
Exxon: 100LL = $2.92 Self Serve
Chevron: 100LL = $2.99 (They pump from the truck)
Not a big savings, but $3.00/gal for 100 octane fuel is not that bad of a deal. I'm considering it, pending my study of the data faxed to me earlier from Chevron, which specifies the differences between motor vehicle gasoline and avgas (specific gravity, volatility, etc.).

A lot, Blown...I've got a lot to read and compare here. Rather than send the thread in a new direction, I'll probably post a goddamn full-fledged report in GearHeads.

For gas? Gasoline for $1.49/gal?
I used to think that was too much for unleaded regular. Today, we pay as much as a dollar per gallon more than that for premium grade (or at least what they call premium).
Didn't we win the damn war?
