Have to sell my 66 Howard.
FE Ford, Velvet Drive, Casell, all new wiring, hoses, new Holley fuel pump, new fuel filter, gauges, new bildge pump, rebuilt carb.
Boat runs like a watch, super dependable. Seats need some attention. $3300.

Just remembered, had a new axle built for the trailer last summer too. Couldn't find seals and bearings for the old hubs and spindles. Ordered the new hubs to have the same bolt pattern as my 2wd suburban.

That IS Beautiful! and a STEAL!;) I know what you went through on the trailer! Those single axles are my favorite for ease of storage and manuverability.:)

I almost forgot. A similar Howard with 427 power was my first ride in a flat v-drive in 1967 and I will never forget it! They make great circle boats with two little fins installed on the cav plate!

I'm tempted, but I have grown accustomed to my bed, regular sex and good food..... :D
I think the easiest way for me to get tossed outta the house would be to buy another boat. :D :D

A bed and good food you can get just about anywhere.
There's no boat on the planet worth losing regular sex over.

Sangster,
yeah, I'm looking now for a cruiser. Can't afford a v-drive cruiser, so it'll more than likely be an I/O. I don't want another jet. I sold the howard because of my back. It sucked big time having to
send it down the road cause I really, really like the vintage stuff. Going as fast as all of you was never a concern to me, I just liked the hull. I liked the FE. I could fit all my family in it, it was cool.
The boat is still in the 'hot boat v-drive' family by the way. A friend of Billy Bs bought it.

Dang, sucks to see you have to let her go.
Did anyone on the board purchase it?
