Do those things float? Do you suppose they could salvage that aircraft? It didn't look too damaged but the rotor blades could probably stand a little bi-ax and resin.

pretty bad. Why is there a railing at the edge of the deck:confused: ? Most ships don't have a railing around helipads!

The railing is actually netting to catch people in case of a fall. Not designed for aircraft.

I was in a Zodiac nearby doing MAROPS when the accident you are talking about happened. Big flash traffic over the radios and my team responded. SEAL's were the first divers on scene to that one. We got relieved quickly, but there was a couple of fatalities.
Wild footage. They wrote off that bird for sure.
