Powerquestboy, are you the guy I see driving around the north side of town in a lifted half ton Chebby with 24" spinners and a Powerquest sticker in back?
Just curious...

DOGHOUSE, thats not me. I drive a White Yukon XL with 20's on it. No Powerquest sticker but I'm always towing the boat around the north side. I live around Cavecreek and Thunderbird.

Thats interesting because I'm actually at cavecreek and sharon also. I live on 22nd street about 6 houses down. Its your first right off sharon. I always say cavecreek and Thunderbird because some people dont know where sharon is.

That has nothing to do with "partay" lines... that has to do with streets and avenues... :D

You should- its all about the dubs..and bigger.

If you would have had this chebby with the spinners, Doghouse probably would have bought that from you. He definately has a thing for bling bling spinners :D We all know how practical 10K in rims are. Doghouse- think less horsepower and more bling-hehe :D

Ok let me try this.
Less hors........ Oh hell, I can't even type such blasphemy. Sorry Roln, I just don't have it in me! ;)
I don't mind the big rims so much. They usually look good on a street truck. Just not on a lifted 4x4 with low pro tires and mud flaps. :p
To each his own I suppose. I'm sure he loves his truck. On the plus side, it does bring a smile to my face every time I see it, so in a way, I guess I like it to... :D

Smile or Laugh? You forgot to mention the mudflaps earlier. As much as I love the big wheels, the spinners just don't do it for me.
Speaking of trucks, what other trucks did you look at before you bought your Dodge. I try to keep it in mind incase the Roln20 pimp ride fails. If I was buying a truck now, I think that I would buy the Silverado SS with 6.0 HO (345hp). What do ya think? I think that would tow any boat I would buy within the next 5 years well.

Note- the price tag of this bad boy is out of control- I'd probably look for a 1 year old one!

It's nice and all, but you gotta remember it's a half ton, and if it's anything like the special edition half tons of the past, they are rated for even lighter payloads/trailers than a regular half ton. That is, they're really light sprung. Step up into the 2500HD range, look at the Duramax and call me. I'll take you for a ride and you'll be hooked. Then you can blow past Senor Doghouse and his Dodge with 17's on it doing 90. Hell, my truck only has 16's but you can hardly tell with the tire smoke billowing off... :D

Why buy a Durasmack if you want a fast diesel? According to our resident diesel expert, the Cummins will make more power and torque than any of the others once you start doing mods. Might as well start with the right engine! :D

That was a Yugo. Dammit, get it right.
Yup, ya end up driving a truck that doesn't have to be lifted to clear decent wheels/tires without rubbing. And one that doesn't have to go back to the shop every couple thousand miles to fix things that should have worked in the first place. Oh yeah, and one that cost 8k less!
:D

What do ya think about 285's? Decent? ;)
As far as the shop, with 46K mine hasn't seen one other than the tire shop because I burn the tread off with all the power...
unless you count the stereo shop. :p

You seem to have forgotten the part about "not rubbing"!
Wonder what else you forgot. Like maybe a few trips to fix the usual GM electrical problems. Strange, I've owned three new GM vehicles in my life, and all three (two trucks and a GTP) made multiple trips in to fix electrical problems, among other things. The last one even left me stuck on the launch ramp with a dead crank trigger, boat & trailer in the water for 3 hours, waiting for a tow truck (a Ford by the way)! Maybe it's just me and my bad karma!
:D

Like I said, I've not had any problems, electrical or otherwise. Knock on wood of course. You must have been bad in a past life or something... :D

and this is my 4th chevy in the last 14 years. My last one was a 96 that I had for 8 years... 240K later and that was with a lowly 6.5 diesel. :D

Well I'm not coming if Jordy's gonna be there. :p
:D
That's not really the reason. I need to get some work done on the boat and will most likely be wrenching tomorrow. If not, I may end up working since I'm behind there too. :(

I'm not going to be there. It's a lay low kinda weekend. Have to be operation big changes on the yellow boat and finish some other stuff I started a while back. ;) :D
