Does anyone know where I can get an inexpensive round trip ticket fron Dallas to Ontario Ca. Its kind of short notice and I need it leaving the 13th of this month and returning the 22nd. It can't have a connecting flight either.

No connecting flights..?.. your going to pay up the ass.. Unless you are truly topless.. Then you could just have someone else pay for it:D

Southwest doesn't fly to or from Dallas without a connecting flight.

It's not pretty. Southwest has no direct (without a plane change) flights. SW does not consider a kid 12 or older as a UM, so if you were comfortable with the plane change that will save money.
There is only one SW flight that has just one plane change, Flight 957 from Albuquerque. He could fly nonstop to Albuquerque, change planes, and stay on the same flight to Ontario after it stops in Phoenix. I think the same arrangement is available on the return.
Cheapest nonstop flight I found was $511 on American. All airlines except SW charge a fee for an unaccompanied minor these days, $80 round trip. If the flight has a plane change, the fee is $150.
Good luck.
edit: Topless, the SW gates in Albuquerque are at the end of the terminal wing and changing planes is really easy. I don't think it would be a problem if the little guy is willing to do it. You can buy a Rapid Rewards coupon for $300 through eBay or in the local paper. The coupons are also available from http://www.frequentflyerdepot.com here in Dallas. I use this service all the time and they are reputable.

If he flies in or out of Albuquerque, try to book for morning flights. The thunder storms in the afternoon will scare the crap out of him.

Try American Airlines as DFW is their hub:
American Airlines Ontario to Dallas (http://www.aa.com/apps/reservations/FlightSearchResults.jhtml;jsessionid=MXKMNWRSNNIQH EAJJMVSM5EQBFFS4LTT?_DARGS=%2Fapps%2Fmodules%2Fmak eReservation.jhtml.8)

I checked everything. I have a friend who has a frequent flier voucher that he will sell to me. What I am going to have to do is have him fly Southwest to Houston. My sister will meet him at the airport and get him on his connecting flight to Ontario. Piece of cake! Everything else cost at least 500.00. Thanks for the help.

Topless, have you checked into paying an extra 25.00 and they will have someone from the airlines escort him and make sure he gets on the connecting flight for you? Just a suggestion if its a long way for your sister. Thats what I had to do for my daughter when she was young and flying from Okla- God - Dam- Homa.

Essex 502 is right. Lots of flights, American or Delta only likely direct flights. Flight runs nearly 400 for a one week stay at the destination and about a week advance on American. Look on www.expedia.com

Actually I did call them and they won't have him escorted. My sister lives close to the airport and would love to see him anyway so its not that big of a deal.

Just charter a plane..it's only money ! Seriously, check Southwest, you may have to go from DAL to PHX, then to ONT..there's lots of ways to do it...and sometimes you may even have to throw the remaining leg of the RT ticket away to save some money

I have always been able to walk my kids to the gates on any airline. They also make me wait until the plane is in the air.
