Has anyone tried this, does it or could it work. I know they have crusers with the diesel, but what about a offshore race type boat?

We will most certainly be experimenting with it down the road. The major problems I see are primarily that the fuel is unavailable at the dock in most places inland, and the engines are extremely expensive and heavy.
We will definitely be working on the technology though. I love the Duramax in my truck, but even more so I dig the Edge performance programmer and Diesel Dynamics doo dads that woke it up. I am a believer.

" Magnum offshoreboat "Titan" rings the bell. Back in the late 70's Eliminator had a daycruiser with the Olds diesel I/O .Topped out at 45 MPH n/a . With a twin turbo application could have been a different story.

I dig those 6 blade chopper - cleaver - blender - deals on the back of the Terribles Boat. I had an invitation to go for a Sunday Brunch run and had to decline. Wish I could have gone to check out the diesel engines;)

Not that it matters, but I'm counting 7 blades on Terrible;)

When you get ready to look at it seriously, let me know. My company is a Yanmar dealer/distributor among others and I can get you all the specs you'd ever want and then some. :D

Can youup the performance on the Yanmar. Do you think you could take a crate motor and just adapt it for the marine use?
