I’m trying to come up with a realistic HP calculation for my motor, without the expense of actually putting it on a dyno. Does anyone know of any websites where I can find a horsepower calculator? Here’s what I have: 502 (+.03 @ 509”) 8/1 CP Blower Pistons, 2- blower prepped 1050 Dominators with # 94 jets on all corners and no power valves, 6/71 Blower w/8# boost, stock stroke, (4.5?) steel rods, iron heads w/2 angle valve job, O-ringed block with .050 copper gaskets, Solid lifter .637 lift-280/290 duration-114* lobe separation, Erson billet roller rockers. Mallory Sprint Mag II locked @ 26* Champion racing plugs. Any opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Randy

700 to 800 HP is my guess. I don't know of any calculator out there though...

my 540 30 over single nickerson carb and 10lbs of boost 945hp. 8.25:1 comp. 30deg total timing. 86pri jets 100 sec. dart alum cnc heads. you should be pushing 800hp with your setup. why is total timing so low? be careful to low of timing brengs exhaust temp way up. Nothing replaces a dyno it is well worth the 300 bucks to know what you have and where it makes the power. you will spend more time dicking around with it trying to get it set up right when a few hrs on the dyno will do it all. Think about it.

Think about it. Did you add your heads before, after or while you were putting your engine together?.. I just purchases a whipple s/c and dart aluminum heads.. I was under the impression that it would allow my motor to perform better with heat and compression.. they told me it would add about 50 hp on top of the HP gain from the whipple set up.. is that your experience?
thanks

i did it all at once. if they are the cnc ported heads i will assume 50 to 75 hp over stock heads with whipple. make sure you add inconel exhaust valves too. your motor should scream. keep the comp. down to no more than 8.5:1 unless you are going to use 6lbs of boost or less then go 9:1 good luck. brian

This is a pretty crude calculator

HP Calculator (http://hotrodders.com/kb/engine/calculators.html) You got that right!
I entered my ci, comp ratio, and the rpm my motor made it's max HP and it was 70hp off from my measured number.
