Went out with a friend on his maiden voyage in his first boat this last Sunday. Bout a half dozen boats in the cove who were brave enough to navigate the debris, floating tires and all. Looks like it will be a while before the flat comes out of the garage. Sure was nice to get out on the water again.

I wouldnt have thought anybody would be out sunday, the river was flooded and sailing logs 20ft long toward tenkiller, lost my damn driveway, but Im going to Cherokee landing thursday to tune a little, its been a long winter............

I will be coming to Tenkiller for vacation , after the forth of July. We will be staying at snake creek. Any suggestions on where to go or what to do while we are there. Might be interested in meeting up with some fellow boaters and consuming a few cold adult beverages.

Snake Creek is a nice lodge, a few miles north on 82 is cooksoon smoke house, great food, if your going to be there a little while take a day and float the river (canoes) alot of Indian stuff to do in Tahlequah (Cherokee nation) if your into indian stuff, best bar/music is Buzzards Roost on the river, email me later and I will give you my number in case you break somthing, and I'll damn sure throw back beers with ya, was at Elk Creek saturday with my son, we have had a lot of water lately and the lake looks great....

sounds great. I use to live in Tahlequah about 12 years ago, can't wait to get back. Engine is going in my boat tonight. I will try and tune it this weekend. Should have all the bugs worked out by vacation time

Anyone gonna give it a shot between storms this weekend? A friend of mine is coming down from Glenpool with his Hydro. So it will be at least him and my flat at the Cove. Don,t know which days, depends on the weather and water conditions. If it is too rough, I'll spend most of the time around the ramp at Carlisle Cove. My flat is Yellow and Black, the one that looks like a surfboard with a motor on it.
