If anyone needs KILLER deals on stereo equipment go to www.DiscountsJungle.com. I got almost $3500 worth of stereo equipment for just over $2600 and its all brand new in the box equipment. I spent hours calling around to local shops and also hours researching online. This was the best deal I found so I thought I would share with you guys since everyone has been so helpful to me on here.

Dan, something I would be worried about on buying the components on the web is when I was talking to the guy from Cartoyz about my system, I also checked the web, and he said he would not compete against the web, but beware, The manufacturer will not warranty that equipment if it failed.
So check that also.
The best deal, is not always the best deal.
P.S. Roz is the man!! My system sounds killer.

Most stuff sold on the Web does NOT come with manufacturers' warranties.
On the other hand, I'll betcha Roz's stuff does and it'll come with his personal support. How much is a warranty worth to you? Especially when something goes wrong in 6 months or so...

Not necessarily true. If the web e-tailer is a authorized dealer...then shipping is the only thing you have to contend with on the warranty (the trick is making sure they are an authorized dealer).
Most stereo shops will tell you that because they want the sale, and can't compete with low-margin e-tailers.
Some manufacturers support their dealer network (brick and mortar) retailers to the point of pulling the dealer agreement if they are caught selling on the web...but those are the exception these days...not the norm.
Ebay is a different story.

Hold on now - MOST sellers of electronic gear on the Web are not authorized resellers. They don't come out and tell you but trust me on this, MOST (I didn't say all) are not authorized by the manufacturers to sell their gear. Lots and lots of places on the Web sell gear, most are not offering warranties and all I was saying is you should check and then double-check to make sure the place you're gonna buy from offers (or doesn't if you don't care) a factory-supported warranty. If you're unsure the best bet is to contact the manufacturer directly and ask THEM if the company is authorized to sell and offers warranties on their products.
There's more to quality than price. Good luck!

Not to rain on your parade but you spent 2600. That isn`t a deal. 500 for 3500 now thats a deal.
If the stuff is warm then it probably sat in the sun.:D

I have bought lots o stuff from e-tailers (off the web)...and yes, I've had warranty claims with no problem.
JL Audio and Rockford Fosgate (MB Quart) are two that come to mind that (in the past) didn't support e-tailers. There's probably a handful outside of that....but they are the exception...not the rule anymore.
For example, ever notice how Best Buy sells it's stuff on bestbuy.com? From thier site;
"You can purchase with confidence because any warranty on a manufacturer's product will apply when purchased through BestBuy.com. To receive a copy of the manufacturer's warranty details prior to purchase, free of charge, write to:
Attn: Warranty Request
Customer Care, BestBuy.com
P.O. Box 949
Minneapolis, MN 55440
1-888-BEST BUY (237-8289)"
Take a look at the Bestbuy.com manufacturer's list (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=cat12098&entryURLType=&categoryId=cat10010&type=page&entryURLID=&contentId=1043363607945). Not much missing from there.
Or how about Crutchfield? This (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-MyRPZB3vh2w/authorized.html) is their policy (seems straight forward to me)...
I don't think e-tailers can falsely claim being an authorized dealer without the wrath of the lawyers from the manufacturer coming down. Also, if you hang around the car audio forums enough, you learn who is on the up n up...those guys are even more brutal than we are.
Roz had a list going at one time.
Most small shops can negotiate margin and install. If you buy your gear from somewhere else, then you take away alot of thier potential profit. Also, if something goes bad...the finger-pointing begins.
As for service and "you get what you pay for"...I do it myself, so I know who to beat on for a bad install. Gear is gear...if you wanna pay more...that's your perogative (Bobby Brown).

That's cool - you're mentioning BestBuy and Crutchfield. If you think those companies offer "killer deals" then I've got a bridge for you.
There are HUNDREDS of companies selling electronic products on the Web. Most of them are not authorized by the manufacturers and do not offer factory warranties. Keep in mind most of these lesser-known companies have text on their site indicating that they are authorized resellers BUT you have to know which manufacturers they're talking about!
Look, buy where you want but when you're spending big bucks especially on home A/V products like TVs, receivers, LD players, speakers, HiDef, etc., etc., I'm guessing you do want warranties on what you're buying. The choice is yours and buyer beware.

I wont go anywhere else but Roz even if its cheaper somewhere else! He is more informative and takes time to investigate the best product for your needs. I just put the new Pionier Avic-N1 on order with him thursday to replace the kenwood 911 that was stolen out of my wife excursion
He is the man!

My point was that almost all audio gear can be had from authorized online e-tailers for cheaper than the local shops. Like I said earlier, the key is making sure they are an authorized dealer.

The van they are testing is a DB compeditor. Following the compeitiion rules and guidelines the person within a certain class bracket tries to achieve the loudest stereo they can. This particular van hits 170db's. The pressure inside the vehicle is brutal. The doors on the van probably weren't reinforced .... Whatever frequency they generated atfull volume caused enough pressure inside the van to crack the door's pillar....

Its good to hear about a good stereo deal- yet I have found the ultimate stereo shop...If you are located in Texas I definitely recommend you try them. The place is Called Texas Stereo, and all they do is custom boat stereos. Their website is www.boatstereo.com
They have all of the best products including all of the accessories like transom remotes, tower speakers, XM Radio, Marine Speakers, Subwoofers, Head units and more.
I was really impressed by some of the work they did on my Malibu.
If you email them they will send a detailed quote over for a perfect system for your boat, and the pricing is great!
Much Impressed!

Which w6's are they selling? JL's chart shows an AE
(discontinued)version that has a 300watt max... The current w3v2's RMS at 300 and the new 6v2's RMS at 400... The new w6 can handle more than that though....
