Dooley scoop question

Does anyone know of a good way to make a flame arrestor site flat inside a dooley scoop. The holes for the carbs are rounded which causes the flame arrestors to site crooked in the holes. Im about to get my scoop powder coated and would like my arrestors to site straight inside the scoop. Thanks.

I don't know if it is possible with the room you have in the scoop, but I would see if you can get a little bit larger round flame arrestor. That way they are both sitting flat when you tighten them down. On my old scoop, the flame arrestor sat flat.

had the same thing happen
we had a small round thin peice of alun or stainless welder to the arrester i think it was 3/4 in bigger than the arrester worked fine
